Not a huge fan of, well, pretty much everything that transpired in this game after the #Caps second goal.
It’s nice to see that the camera operator still CAN turn to the right in this period.
Wouldn’t mind seeing it just a little bit more often the rest of the way.
This is just tremendous. Love that they were ready to rock with this.

All things considered, I’ll take a “big blah with a couple of bright spots” game from the #Caps compared to quite a few other potential negative alternatives that spring to mind.
Putting the #Caps ahead 2-1, Ovechkin becomes the inaugural member of a very specific NHL goal-scoring club that might not mean as much outside of DC.
(Credit to the Horn Guy for pointing this out to me at the end of last season.)
Back when most TV shows had seasons that started every fall, there were often 1-2 episodes that had been made the previous season held over to air in the fall.
Tonight’s #Caps game felt a bit like a holdover/rerun from last season.
Hoping for a fresher episode Wednesday night!

Hell of an episode of “#Orioles After Dark” tonight.
Hoped it would happen, but wasn’t banking on it. Now it somehow feels like it was inevitable.
This is certainly one hell of an exclamation point to the eventful (to put it mildly) last couple of weeks from the @Capitals front office.
As someone once said… Sick, unbelievable.
Emotional day down on F St. today, for the obvious (speculative) reasons, but also a HUGE win to stay alive, capped by stirring post-game words from the Captain.
Whether they make it in or not, this last stretch of the season with the #CockroachCaps has been one wild ride.
The 2025-26 Washington Capitals have been, in a word, confounding.
I feel like the number of games that went the way logic & current trends would’ve predicted can be counted on 2 hands, at most.
So I guess the #CockroachCaps still hanging around makes a strange kind of sense.
At one point, corporate told the Don & Mike Show they couldn’t play bodily sounds on the air.
In response, they made voice drops describing many such sounds.
One of them was “GREAT BIG FART!” in deep voice with reverb.
That’s been on a loop in my head for much of this game.
Warmups for tonight’s #Caps game were apparently being directed by JJ Abrams.
Unfortunately, all of the reasons the #Caps are in the spot they’re in didn’t magically go away over the last couple weeks.
Had to figure it was only a matter of time before we had a stark reminder like tonight.
And yet, somehow, they’re still not QUITE dead yet. #CockroachCaps
