Abby had raised kittens before, out on the streets with no one to help. This time, a pregnant stray was taken in by a foster with a quiet room. One morning, her foster woke up to a surprise. Abby had done the hardest part entirely on her own. šŸ¾

Before a rescued kitten has a home, someone gives them a name šŸ¾ Acorn, Spaghetti, ButterNut, Patty Pan, Zucchini. A family of cheeses. A gang of retirees. Itā€™s the first thing anyone does for them that isnā€™t medical, and itā€™s when a litter becomes individuals.

Happy National Cat Day šŸ¾ This year we met a cat with a gray mustache who greets everyone with a head bump, a senior girl with a raspy voice, and a kitten who went from one pound in a field to a bow tie. Tell us your catā€™s name and their signature move.
