The Things We Cannot Keep I watched the sunset leave the sky without a single reason why. The day grew dim, the stars appeared, and all I loved remained sincere. Perhaps the world was right all along: not everything we love belongs. Some things arrive to make us see how beautiful a moment can be. So I will love what comes my way, without demanding it must stay. For even flowers, bright and rare, were never promised they'd stay there.
