Chow won comprehensively. Largest raw vote share in Toronto history. She won 18/25 wards including Bradford’s home ward, wards in Etobicoke and North York and ran the table in downtown, East York and Scarborough. This was a very divisive campaign and I hope the city now unites.

I hate how people talk about cuts like conservatives are just doing it for the love of the game. The lack of will power for parties on the left to make controversial decisions is why we keep ending up with these horrible deficits.

It’s really an unreal story that a sitting councillor - now running for mayor - was not only blown out in a mayoral election that saw him lose in 19 of 25 wards, but was ALSO soundly crushed by his own constituents in the ward he oversaw for four years!

Maybe some cause for reflection on why the people of Toronto didn't feel the same about their mayor in such an environment that is so primed for incumbent loss?

It's really an unreal story that incumbent Mayors in these Ontario cities not only lost their bid to be re-elected, a few were blown out:
Mississauga
Niagara Falls
Hamilton
Windsor
Sarnia
Milton
Waterloo
Cambridge
The people decided they'd seen enough.

Stop pretending that the behaviour of this "government " is normal.
