Coach is going to have a real issue when Suggs & Banchero are back, if Black keeps playing this way.
You want players making the coach ask tough questions about who should be starting.
Problem is, Black is playing for a contract and that price seems like its going to balloon
Orlando win.
Turkey in the smoker.
Gathering with friends tonight to remember Gods faithfulness throughout history, not just the Protestant Reformation, even though some label it as Reformation Day.
It's a good Saturday.

Y’all have no idea how huge this win is!
Missing 2 starters and another big piece for us (+AB the first couple), started the season with a ridiculously hard schedule… and yet we have wins over….
*checks notes*
Oh… the defending champs (on their home floor)
And… Toronto (on their home floor — in a cup game).
A lot to clean up for sure, but man… forgive me if I’m wrong for being impressed by their level of grit & tenacity, despite everything that’s gone wrong thus far.
While also still learning a new coach and new system (not an insignificant detail, even if you choose to overlook it).
If these guys can just squeak out some Ws while we wait on P5/Penda/Suggs, we could be in good shape, especially as the schedule eventually lightens.
These guys played like absolute warriors tonight. Not the Golden State kind, more like the Leonidas kind.
I’m proud of them, this was a very tough game to close and they stayed with it, even as Scottie was having the game of his life and unable to miss, they didn’t quit at all.
Play. The. Song.
Our Cup record is impressive.
That response, though not perfect, was impressive.
13 turnovers against a defensive side like the Raps, solid.
2-1 on the road trip up North, impressive considering the opponents.
Committing only 6 turnovers is a massive improvement.
But allowing more offensive boards than defensive isn't acceptable.
Clean up the glass, continue to defend well without fouling, continue to handle the ball well, and we win this.
I actually like Jase on the floor.
Though there are some limitations with height against bigger players, he has quick feet and genuinely try to compete on every play.
You can work with that.
Plus, he seems to be one of better ball handlers, gets the ball moving, plays with pace.
You do everything right on the defensive end, let them jack up a shot at the end of a clock, then give up an offensive rebound.
That's the kind of stuff we need to clean up.
I always find my self contemplating the depths of my coffee consumption on a Saturday morning...
Do people get the jitters if they drink too much? I seem to not.
Which makes me wonder, does filter coffee extract less caffeine compared to an espresso shot?
What going on in my mind now:
✅ORL playing live on a sat morning
❌ORL last game was painful
✅ORL cup record is GOOD
❌ORL game means I can't do something this morning
✅Most back to games get spilt between teams.
❌ORL X is a little pessimistic ATM
✅ORL has a chance to win
One bright spot about Orlando right now is Tristan da Silva.
Probably our most consistent player to start the season, seems to have improved across all areas of his game.
Swneey has given him chance & he's delivered so far. Love to see this.
I remember a few years ago, prior to Bane trade, there was a lot of chatter around trading for a PG.
Do you think we need to revisit that?
Get someone who can organise the offence, handle the ball, and lead the team?
To me, its starting to seem like thats what we are lacking.
I told myself that I wouldn't have high expectations coming into another season after last season. However, I found myself doing it again this season. It's hard not to when you love Magic.
After last game, my expectations are levelling out.
With all the injuries at the start of the season, is reducing the amount of games played a good solution?
Could years of wear and tear on the body finally be catching up?
Training practices?
Game too fast?
Shoes?
Something has changed, but what is the solution?
I'm not sure.
Im excited to see if Anthony Black can back up his performance against NYKs tonight.
That guy changed the momentum of the game and hit some big, timely shots.
If he can do this on a regular basis, which I kinda expect, the ripple effect is huge.
Just my opinion... when they say Suggs will be re-evaluated in 2 weeks, I don't think that means theres a chance he'll be back in two weeks. It's a mild bone bruise, but given his issues with the knee before, they won't be rushing him back. My expectations are 3-4 weeks.
This is great news.
When you see a player have a non-contact injury, you tend to think the worst.
Best possible outcome given the situation.
Do yourself a favour...
Rewatch 4th quarter Franz in MSG.
Get hyped on Franz!
Franz Wagner dropped 21 POINTS in Q4 🔥
He finished with 23 PTS, 13 REB (career-high), and 9 AST to lead the @OrlandoMagic to victory on the road!
