Following a U.S. Supreme Court decision today that overturns Roe v. Wade, we're reminding people that abortion remains legal in Oregon. ow.ly/WFuP50JGU9I

again, we aren't learning anything we didn't already know
We’re about to learn that most code written over the last 20 years was complete slop and most software developers were never that good
this is one of the funniest pieces of slop I've ever seen. forget the ranking what the fuck happened man
WWE Superstar ranked from God to Jobbers .

that's cool, having it on record that the government actually can't ever deal with these people will be useful for the future history books
"Elon Musk says he will retaliate against Democrats who investigate him," per FOX

impossible standards is a crazy thing to say on this
Now people should celebrate. An Indian company exits SSL/TLS business. Your witch-hunt and demand for impossible standards has worked.

the thing you don't have to do for any of those things is be a citizen. so that's how. everything you go through, they also go through and then some. google is free.
I genuinely need to know. How do illegals actually function in this country? How do they open bank accounts? How do they buy cars? Rent apartments? Get credit cards? Meanwhile I've got a whole folder just to renew a car registration: Social Security card, birth certificate, two forms of photo ID, proof of address, title, registration, smog test. Every time I need to do anything that actually matters, it's a stack of paperwork and a trip somewhere to prove I am who I say I am. How does someone with none of that documentation just... operate? Bank accounts. Credit cards. Cars in their name. Leases. I genuinely don't get how the math works.

the only way this can happen is if you are poor and then become slightly less poor and lose some marginal credit. people who say brackets alone cause loss are welcome to provide evidence (they won't) but on that alone it is mathematically impossible to make less
idk if it's still like this, but when my dad became a journeyman plumber, he told me a lot of guys didn't go up from being 4th years because they got put into the higher tax bracket and so their net income was a bit less as a journeyman than as a 4th year

if you doubt it, feel free to pull out a paper and pencil and demonstrate your scenario and then the internet can explain to you why you're bad at math

please just go outside. your body misses the sun after all these years
If you're 25-30, and your main circle isn't discussing: - Two critical vulnerabilities being identified in PHP that allow malicious actors to remotely execute code in PHP core, potentially compromising sensitive data and networks. Then it's time to elevate your circle.

this is also why it costs money to hike and camp in a lot of places now. just too many fucking people
Tickets are expensive because everyone wants to go to a basketball game. The stadiums are 100% packed every big game. If you lower prices, stadiums will still be packed. So how do they propose solving this at all?
2
they think this way because they don't have real jobs, so any time employed people talk about how business works, they get confused and scared and lash out
Imagine being so lost in the sauce you blame all these closures of incredible studios and masterpiece games and franchises built over decades on “woke” and not the one common factor: corporate mismanagement and unrealistic expectations.

in standard LLM fashion, it has "discovered" a thing we already knew
Amazing how quickly we went from "oh no LLMs are going to flood the Internet with insecure code" to "oh no LLMs have discovered the internet was already flooded with insecure code"

either they're committing financial suicide or they know more about the business than you do random internet commentator
Sounds good, but now cleaners will have to be paid more and fees will go up. So not taking out trash, doing dishes is going to cost you more - and my guess is people would rather do 5-10 mins of cleaning than pay an extra $20.

Until we get confirmation Jira is safe from the PHP vulnerability, I don’t think anyone should be opening tickets or assigning me work.

captain obvious here with grand insight as always
Perhaps the threat was never a rogue AI agent trying to subvert humans—but humans using AI to hurt other humans.

naturally the person with Lutheran in their bio is upset you can't "give offense" to non villains, whatever the fuck that even means
Key difference between BG3 and Veilguard: Baldur's Gate let your character believe whatever and act however, even to the detriment of the companions and their beliefs. In Veilguard, your character could not give serious offense to anyone who wasn't a villain. It wasn't allowed. The former is game design centered on player choice, the latter is — transparently — the writers' ethics forced onto the player character's personality. That's the activism people hated.

champions of free speech 🙄 they're not obligated to acknowledge him
Yikes: The Bengals are under heavy criticism online for IGNORING Vice President JD Vance as he tried to greet them. The large majority of the team did not shake his hand or even acknowledge Vance. Many Republicans are calling for the NFL to fine them.

50m nah dude. nah.
This is my single most technocratic take. The President should make something like $50M a year. Senators, $1M. House members, $500k. *And* the costs of work-related travel, and of maintaining a second household in the DC area, should be fully covered for members of Congress. In exchange, ban all Congressional stock trading.

yeah I mean the point of doge was to cut off the sec, et al so I'm not sure anyone should be surprised about this now
This mother f*cker built an entire business sucking at the government teat and now threatens anyone who has the temerity to provide oversight into that business. He is a national security threat.

Elon is now threatening the United States Government if he is investigated after the midterms. You know what eliminates those threats? Seizing all of his assets, nationalizing SpaceX, and putting him on trial for treason against the United States and war crimes against Ukraine. If he wants to threaten with all his money, take away all his fucking money.
