Preact 11 is awesome. It adds modern React features such as use and forwarded ref, while preserving a lean and even performant foundation that we can build our own dual-threaded model upon at Lynx.
Lynx 4.0 is here! 🎉
📱 Foldables & CSS media queries
✨ Liquid Glass & Blur with <blur-view>
🌐 Open-source <webview>
🤖 OpenUI & Agent Skills
⚛️ ReactLynx improvements
🤖 OpenUI + more Skills!
Lynx GenUI now speaks OpenUI: agents stream compact expressions, and we turns them into native UI.
3 New Agent Skills: lynx-a2ui, lynx-openui, lynx-api-docs.
Also in 4.0:
⚛️ ReactLynx createElement & cloneElement
🔍 Unified debug metadata
🖥️ Desktop: custom text carets & mask-composite
📊 Global memory queries

You may have noticed the Rspack → Rsbuild → Rspeedy layering above and found it confusing. We did too.
It's time to retire the Rspeedy layer
🦀🦊 Coming in the next @LynxJS_org release:
- build Lynx apps with Rsbuild
- ReactLynx component libraries with Rslib
- test with Rstest

We’re going to work to make Octane + Lynx significantly faster than anything else out there. Exciting times

The gap to native is closable.
We rarely share benchmarks (they're hard!), but here's one we ran at @LynxJS_org in Jan to find our own bottlenecks.
@reactnative made cross-platform mainstream. Now it's time for all of us to chase near-native perf without giving it up.
We are upgrading to @preactjs v11
ReactLynx 0.126.0 is out, now running on Preact 11.
Background renders are ~14% faster, teardowns ~11%, and use() now ships from our compat entry.

Did you know? You can now build native mobile apps with Lynx in… Haskell!

Many of you have been asking for this, so here we go:
Use any @Capacitorjs plugin with @Lynxjs_org.
Introducing 🐈⬛ lynx-capacitor 🔌: a thin, drop-in bridge for running Capacitor plugins through Lynx’s NativeModule API.
We just learned that Karrot (당근), 🇰🇷 Korea's largest
second-hand marketplace with 21M+ MAU, has shipped
Lynx to production on 3 screens, with more planned.
They wrote up why they chose Lynx for its brownfield adoption and performance:
We're gradually adopting Lynx into the Karrot app. I've written a post sharing the story behind adopting Lynx—a cross-platform technology—and the results we achieved.

In the blog, they also go deep into how they scaled Lynx with rollout strategies, bundle management, native integration... and how they brought SEED, their open-source design system, into Lynx:
seed-design.io/lynx
Lynx has been building on CDP since its early days, and we are very happy with that decision.
Our infra lead reflects on why CDP was ahead of its time, and why its value has only grown in the agent era:
A small idea from work: if AI agents are going to fix Lynx apps, they need more than a way to write code—they also need a way to verify the result.
CDP may be the next interface for observing and controlling the Lynx runtime.

Octane now has native Lynx support!
Battle-tested @octanejs Lynx by porting our signature tutorials.
And they're now live on the Octane website ;)
