Over 50 Projects Executed in Sabuwa--Gov. Radda * Seeks Traditional Leaders’ Prayers, Support for 2027 Tinubu–Dikko Campaign Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has disclosed that his administration has executed over 50 projects in Sabuwa Local Government and nearly 1,070 projects across the Funtua Zone, covering roads, education, water supply, security and other critical sectors. Governor Radda made this known during a visit to the palace of the District Head of Sabuwa, Kogon Katsina, Engineer Bello Ibrahim, where he sought the prayers, support and cooperation of traditional rulers and community leaders for the 2027 Tinubu–Dikko political campaign. “We are here to pay our respects, seek your blessings, and request your continued prayers, support and cooperation as we continue our political journey towards the 2027 general elections,” the Governor said. He expressed appreciation to the people of Sabuwa for the overwhelming support they gave his administration during the previous election, assuring them that his government remained committed to justifying their confidence through service delivery and development. “When we came to seek your mandate, you gave us your support and elected us with an overwhelming victory. We remain grateful for the confidence you placed in us,” he noted. On development, Governor Radda said his administration had prioritised critical infrastructure across Sabuwa and other parts of the Funtua Zone, with interventions designed to improve access to essential services and enhance residents’ livelihoods. “I promised during the campaign that we would address the poor condition of some roads in this area. By the grace of Almighty Allah, work has commenced, and we remain committed to ensuring that the projects achieve their intended purpose,” he explained. He also highlighted government interventions in education, water supply and community development, noting that the administration had responded to requests from communities for improved infrastructure and essential services. The Governor further stated that his administration had strengthened the recognition of traditional institutions, including Emirs, District Heads and Ward Heads, while providing allowances to Islamic scholars and Imams in recognition of their contributions to community leadership and religious development. On security, Governor Radda acknowledged the challenges that confronted communities when his administration assumed office but expressed gratitude for the improvements recorded in Sabuwa and other parts of the state. “By the grace of Almighty Allah, Sabuwa and other areas have experienced some relief from these challenges. Our government will continue to do everything within its capacity to sustain the improvements recorded and further improve the security and welfare of our people,” he assured. He called on traditional rulers, political leaders and community stakeholders to sustain their cooperation in promoting peace, unity and development, while seeking their continued prayers for the success of the government and the well-being of the people. Earlier, the District Head of Sabuwa and Kogon Katsina Alhaji Ibrahim Bello Kogo commended the Radda administration for its interventions in security, road rehabilitation, water supply and community development. They observed that improved security had enabled residents who previously fled their communities to return home and resume farming, while government support for community security initiatives had strengthened local efforts to address insecurity.
