Thats why we need products like @raycashxyz: confidential self-custodial banking. No fractional reserves, no central bank seizure
đ¨Turmoil erupts in Paraguay as one bankâs collapse spirals into a NATIONAL CRISIS.
Ueno Bank, the countryâs largest digital bank, has been seized by the Central bank after its solvency ratio plunged below half the legal minimum, leaving nearly 3 MILLION customers unable to access accounts, cards and transfers.
Thatâs almost 60% of Paraguayâs adult population.
Angry citizens have now taken to the streets demanding access to their money.
The disruption has spread beyond the bank- 13 mutual funds have reportedly frozen withdrawals, and trading in Uenoâs bonds has been suspended.
Nearly $380 MILLION belonging to the state pension fund is caught in the crisis.
The problem is how deeply Ueno was embedded in everyday payments.
It handled two-thirds of card payments at major stores. With those services frozen, Paraguayâs main importersâ association describes retail activity as âsemi-paralyzed.â
Customers have been told they can initially recover up to $1,700, with no payment date given.
The political fallout is mounting with the Central Bank chief Carlos Carvallo resigning, and authorities having arrested 8 executives from the bank over suspected breach of trust.

Replying to @JDVance
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
These are all the same thing. The cost of living is high because Israel convinced Trump to start a war with Iran, instead of putting America first.

âThe reason we lost is the war.â
Thatâs true, but not the whole story. You guys all but put your hand on the Bible and swore you wouldnât do it, and everyone knows the promise was broken solely to serve the interests of a foreign country. An appalling, brazen betrayal.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"âwhether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up.
So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us."
Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026.
There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasnât sharp enough down the stretch. Iâm sure thatâs true.
But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone.
Another pollsterâone of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday weâd lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were:
1) End the war
2) Focus on cost of living/inflation
3) Put America First
4) Change our relationship to Israel
Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (Sheâs also a great person.)
In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcementâby focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you.
The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.
If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest.
But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there.
I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, âI told you soâ: youâre right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Letâs take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

Alan Mendoza predicted that the Libyan intervention in 2011 would "expunge the ghosts of the Iraq War," and the Henry Jackson Society (which he has run for 20 years) said in 2012 that "Libya is not collapsing" and that "Libyaâs militias are much less of a problem than sometimes portrayed in the international press." Libya subsequently descended into civil war, state collapse, became a safe haven for jihadists, and blew wide open a route for mass third-world immigration into Europe.
Mendoza was also a cheerleader for the toppling of Assad. In 2012, he signed an open letter to David Cameron advocating military intervention in Syria, including a no-fly zone, Turkish ground forces, and British supplies of weapons to Syrian rebels. During his tenure at HJS, the organisation also hosted an event entitled "Bringing Down the Last Dictatorship in Europe," concerning Belarus, and published proposals for bringing about regime collapse in Iran through military strikes, covert operations, and support for opposition groups. Howâs that going?
He is the President of the Jewish National Fund UK, which has donated more than ÂŁ1 million to HaShomer HaChadash, an organisation described by the Israeli media as "Israelâs largest militia," and has funded projects linked to Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.
HJS was also exposed in 2017 for reportedly taking approximately ÂŁ10,000 a month from the Japanese government to run a campaign influencing British political and media opinion against China. The organisation subsequently apologised to former Foreign Secretary Sir Malcolm Rifkind for failing to disclose relevant circumstances when seeking his involvement in an article concerning China.
For some inexplicable reason, Farage has chosen this man to be his "Chief Advisor on Global Affairs." According to Lois Perry, the head of Reform Friends of Israel (wtf?), he is in fact Reformâs "de facto shadow Foreign Secretary" (see recording below).
Under a Restore Britain government, the kind of lobbying Mendoza engages in will be curtailed, and those responsible for dragging Britain into disastrous foreign wars - and the migration waves, blowback terrorism, and tremendous cost in blood and treasure they have entailed - will be purged from the British state apparatus. Mendoza and his ilk would be pariahs.
I do not for one moment believe it is a coincidence that the Middle Eastern wars he so passionately cheerleads align so closely with Israeli foreign policy objectives. Whose interests does this guy actually serve?
Britainâs foreign policy must serve Britain, and Britain alone.
A nonsense argument. All the consequences of the Iran War would still have happened if he had magically found himself in charge of the UK when it broke out. The illusion he has created of being a man who can turn world events at his whim is entirely fake news. It betrays a complete lack of understanding about how international affairs actually function.

The alliance with Israel has cost the American right everything. Some of Trump's failures and inadequacies could have been tolerated if Trump had got the Epstein affair and the Iran War right. He tried to serve Israel instead and look at the consequences.
The European right ought to learn from this.

Yeah this. Crypto has actually done pretty badly in terms of prices since Trumpâs inauguration. His erratic and destabilising nature is not good for an already hyper volatile market at the edge of the risk curve. It seems that crypto actually does better under adversarial conditions, even if the vibes are not as fun.
And I highly suspect it will get adversarial. The anti-crypto Warren set have been biding their time and will want revenge. Iâd say itâs good that their prime focus is anti-AI hysteria now, but unfortunately the shared outcome of raging against an inevitable future is forced orbings for all.
Remember, the U.K. continued on the Kamala timeline and we literally tried to revoke peopleâs fundamental civic rights unless they got a digital ID. We continue to censor speech at a disturbing level and the one data centre we were building got cancelled.
America does everything bigger and better of course, so I would expect open war on tech, KYC accelerationism and at least a solid attempt at wealth taxes.
There is however a couple of years under the actually good new SEC guidance to get some serious progress done and who knows how good AI will be by then. Pray for more open models and privacy tech.
I think dems sweeping midterms is much less bearish crypto than people think...same as trump was much less bullish than people thought
there will be good and bad, just different flavor than trump
but overall things will be better in future than they are now, we will fix the exploits, build some new datacentres, adopt some crypto etc

Iran has cost the Republicans far more than anyone expected. It was a catastrophic mistake. And if Reform or the Tories were in charge, we would have gone to war right behind them. On day one, Restore Britain said no. It was not right for the British people, and we were absolutely right to draw that line in the sand.
The consequences of ANOTHER pointless Middle Eastern war have reached far into the homes of ordinary British families.
The price of petrol. The cost of heating. The weekly food shop. The mortgage. The small business struggling to pay its electricity bill. YOUR life has been made so much more expensive by THEIR war.
Every pointless escalation has made life more expensive for people who are already being squeezed from every direction.
For what? To what end? What has this war achieved? Absolutely nothing of worth.
Restore Britain said no.
Not because we support the Iranian regime. Obviously that is not the case.
But because the first duty of a British government is to protect Britain and its people.
And that very much includes protecting British families from the economic consequences of wars that are evidently and clearly not in our national interest.
When oil prices rise, families pay more to fill their cars. Those moving goods face higher diesel costs. Farmers pay more to operate their machinery. Businesses face rising transport and production bills.
Those costs do not stay at the petrol pump. That gets passed on. EVERYTHING gets more expensive.
It is always the same people who end up paying. Itâs not the politicians making grand speeches about international leadership. Itâs not the commentators demanding military action from the comfort of television studios.
It is British mums and dads trying to stretch the wage for a few extra days. Itâs the pensioner frightened to put the heating on. The young couple wondering whether they can afford a home.
The small business owner calculating whether another increase in costs will finally force them to close.
They have been handed another bill for someone elseâs war - a war backed by everyone on the right apart from Restore Britain.
Farage said this is the âright oneâ, and 'the gloves need to come offâ. That is VERY easy to say from a GB News studio.
A Restore Britain government will put the interests of its own citizens before the approval of foreign leaders.
Britain does not need another foreign war. We tried that. It failed, over and over.
The abuse I received from Reform politicians for saying so was extreme.
They were wrong. The Tories were wrong. Restore Britain was right.
We need cheaper energy, affordable food, secure borders. We need to control inflation. We need to make our economy deliver for working men and women. THAT is our aim. Not getting dragged into another pointless foreign war.
Our loyalty is to the British people. Our responsibility is to British families. Our aim is to make life affordable again for our people.
And our answer to yet another unnecessary war was no, and remains no.
No more pointless foreign wars.

Identity is the central question of our age.
While the present regime encourages every other group to celebrate and politically organise around its identity, it does everything in its power to prevent the native British people - and Europeans in general - from doing the same.
That ends now.
Before anything else, our first consideration must be "how does this benefit our people?"
If something benefits us, we do it.
If something hurts us, we crush it.
It's that simple.

Akash Network is leaving its own blockchain for Solana.
AKT holders approved Prop 346 when voting closed on 2 November. By our count of the on-chain tally, 97% of the votes cast said Yes.
@akashnet runs a marketplace where people rent GPUs and servers from independent providers. Until now it has lived on its own chain, built on Cosmos.
For AKT holders, nothing changes today.
The vote approves a 1:1 version of AKT on Solana. The proposal expects it 2 to 3 weeks after passage, once two independent audits are done.
Holders will move tokens through a one-way portal that stays open for two years. "There is no path back," the proposal says. Every AKT that crosses leaves the old chain, so total supply stays the same.
Staking rewards keep paying until a later cutover. That needs its own vote, after a provider testnet and a 14-day community dress rehearsal.
The reason is cost. Akash estimates its marketplace transactions on Solana cost about 9x less than on an Ethereum layer 2 on a calm day, and about 300x less under load.
Tokens using the AKT ticker already exist on Solana, and none of them is the migrated one. Take the mint address only from Akash's official channels.
Helium and Render, two other networks of real-world hardware, already moved to Solana. Akash's compute marketplace is next.
