Maybe my new Twitter bio? Thanks for closely following my career, P Bheda on.mktw.net/2fnQA2l
I have an announcement to make. After months of being a skeptic and borderline hater, I'm coming around to the term "new media."
It's still not my preferred term, but it does do some important work:
Separating out a "social media" team means you do not understand how content works in 2026. It means you're creating something WITHOUT your social media team, and then asking them to adapt it FOR social media. These are not separate roles and should no longer be treated as such.
Here's the ideal way: You're a creative studio. (I'd call it a "newsroom" if what we were doing is news, but it's not.) Every piece of digital content, from your website to a podcast to a written blog post to video, is created with distribution already in mind.
You're working shoulder to shoulder, producing creative that will thrive on each platform, because you understand what makes YouTube different from TikTok.
So while "New Media" isn't my preferred term and "creative studio" is, it's the same idea: Stop separating these teams from one another. That's a recipe for failure.
no matter how many clients, or how busy I get, I'll always make time to google things like "how old is Millie Bobby Brown"
It turns out the last frontier for getting over vanity isn’t posting videos of yourself talking with a mini mic
It’s having a stye on your eye and having to acknowledge it at the beginning of every Zoom call 😭
and that’s this week for me
+1
And same goes for broad, sweeping language about AI. "We've never seen anything like this," "unprecedented," "everything's about to change" ...
OK, we get it, but how and what specifically do you mean
The creator category that’s about to grow in a big way: lesser-known athletes.
@Techweek_
getting headshots taken this week, and I'm honestly one of the least photogenic people I know
if you are good at this, please send tips urgently for how to pose and look natch on camera plz
reframing all my mistakes:
they're not mistakes, they're just building my moat so no one else can build an agency exactly like mine ✨

You guys are getting too obsessed with storytelling.
Talking about your company in compelling ways is marketing. Always has been.
A terminally online manic pixie dream girl is not your silver bullet to standing out on the timeline.
It’s substance in your product and team.
