Alaina was perfectly content, living an ordinary life in a quiet little town until the day everything changed. When her world goes up in flames and sheโs pulled into the unknown, Alaina thinks itโs all over, but her story is only beginning.

Probably the greatest lessons I have learned in being published for a decade is the concept of good things taking time and to keep working.
You can read more via today's blog post all about my experiences of being published 10 years:

I commissioned a map for Book 2 of The Crystal Phoenix series. Absolutely love what the artists did.

Been absolutely crushing my final round of self-edits recently, the little bits of added color and refinement are really helping the story feel more alive. Book 2 of my new Crystal Phoenix series will be in the editor's hands soon!

Had some A+ content made for my latest release. Submitted for approval, but I have no idea what I'm doing, so I hope I formatted everything correctly on KDP.

After several communications with Amazon, I finally got an answer why my new book never got the 'Pre-Order' or 'New-Release' banners.
Unless the algorithm approves, it doesn't matter. No way to manually correct the error.
So, basically, "Fuck Off, Indie."

To be clear, I know how to create a listing, this has never happened with any of my previous 13 books.

Nice! My book landed in the top 50 of New Releases for its category.

I wish EVERYONE great success but its deflating to see the coming soon section flooded with vanity re-releases of major titles. My bookโs coming out soon & I canโt even find it among the clutter of special editions or stuff that wonโt publish for 3-6 months.
