A 10-Point Grand Bargain for Peace in Ukraine and European Strategic Independence

1. #EuropeMustStandAlone — Strategic Independence
Europe must never again tie its security to American elections. Build a European-led defence system independent of Washington, while remaining open to American cooperation.

Negotiate a phased US military withdrawal, while building independent European command, intelligence, conventional and nuclear deterrence. Any transition must respect existing treaties and national sovereignty.
3. #BeijingPeaceInitiative — A New Diplomatic Partnership
Europe proposes an economic and diplomatic agreement with China. Beijing uses its influence over Moscow to support a durable Ukrainian ceasefire. In exchange, Europe offers a conditional, decade-long programme of economic normalization.
4. #FifteenYearsOfPeace — Freeze the Front Lines
Establish a 15-year ceasefire along mutually agreed, internationally verified lines inside Ukraine. The arrangement constitutes neither Ukrainian recognition of Russian annexations nor the permanent surrender of Ukrainian territory. Ukraine must consent to the deal.
5. #NeutralPeacekeepers — International Monitoring
Deploy an internationally mandated monitoring force drawn from mutually acceptable non-NATO countries. Its mission would include ceasefire verification, observation of demilitarized areas, investigation of violations and protection of agreed monitoring arrangements.
6. #ChinaHasLeverage — Make Beijing Responsible for Its Commitments
China formally undertakes to respond to serious, independently verified Russian violations. Agreed enforcement measures could include restrictions on sensitive industrial exports, financial transactions and economic cooperation with designated Russian entities.

Over ten years, Europe gradually relaxes selected restrictions affecting Chinese civilian technology, investment and trade, subject to EU and national laws. Each stage depends on verified implementation of the agreement. Critical military and security-sensitive technologies remain protected.
8. #PeaceHasConsequences — Automatic Enforcement
Establish independent compliance reviews every six months. Russian violations trigger agreed corrective measures. If Beijing fails to implement its enforcement obligations, the next European economic concessions are suspended, with predefined mechanisms for reversing eligible benefits.
9. #UkrainianSovereignty — No Peace Without Kyiv
Ukraine retains its internationally recognized sovereignty, right of self-defence and freedom to determine its political future. No settlement may be imposed on Ukraine by Moscow, Beijing or European capitals. Security guarantees and continued Ukrainian military capabilities remain essential.
10. #AStableEurasia — A New European Security Order
Build a durable European security system based on military self-reliance, enforceable agreements and diversified international partnerships. Maintain constructive relations with the United States, establish a conditional economic partnership with China and make renewed Russian aggression carry substantial consequences.

Europe offers China ten years of conditional economic opportunity in exchange for meaningful, enforceable Chinese cooperation in securing fifteen years of peace in Ukraine.
Europe simultaneously develops the military capabilities necessary to guarantee its own security, independently of changes in American political leadership.
The bargain is not built on trusting Moscow or Beijing. It is built on verification, conditional economic benefits, credible deterrence and measurable consequences for violations.

Russia’s state news agency RIA Novosti published an article titled: “Russia Awaits Another ‘Special Military Operation.’ It Will Be Very Short.”
The target? Lithuania - a NATO country.
The article openly discussed attacking Lithuania, even mentioning missiles with an “appropriate warhead.”
Then, a few hours later, RIA deleted it and claimed it did not reflect russian state policy. The irony is that russian officials also said that attacking Ukraine did not reflect state policy. A few weeks later russia attacked Ukraine.
It has just been reported, that the Russians have fired on a Danish military helicopter in international waters.
We are heading for war, even though our politicians @NATO refuse to call that yet.
