I ain't gonna disagree but I understand why they do it. I think the worst is still Microsoft for it though because they only allow 16 month contracts that put you on a 12 month cool down to reapply

Think of it like this, games can sell well and because there will be quite some time till the next game some roles at the company aren't as required. If a game is 3 years away, do you need a full marketing team for example.
