There’s been a lot of FUD around the @MultiversX ecosystem lately, as if it’s the only project in the market going through tough times. I hold $EGLD in my portfolio, so I do share some of the concerns people in the community are expressing. But at the same time, I also know the market is in a terrible state, which makes it even harder for builders to deliver. I also know that building something, anything, involves trying, failing, and adjusting. Even tech giants like Apple or Meta launch products, test them, and if they don’t work, they shut them down. Not because they lack vision, but because that’s how innovation works. You try, you fail, you adapt, and hopefully, you learn. As a lawyer, I’ve come in contact with a lot of so-called Web3 projects (and I’ve heard stories from colleagues too). Believe me, you’d be shocked to know how many of those projects are just a shiny website and literally nothing behind them. No team, no product, no plan. That’s why, in my opinion, the fact that you can actually see the team behind MultiversX, you know their names, know how @beniaminmincu really looks like, already places the project in the top 10% of this space. On top of that, they’re active. They post on X, they answer questions, they go to events, they organize them, they launch products, they even fail sometimes and admit it. That level of involvement pushes them even higher within that 10%. Ironically, that might also be why some people feel even more frustrated: the team created the image of a serious, long-term project, so expectations are much higher. And that’s fair. But let’s be honest, no one complains when they ape into a random Telegram project they know nothing about and then get rugged. That’s the irony of this space. This is the unspoken risk you accept when investing in early-stage projects: it can go to zero. And if it does, you shouldn’t be surprised. Don’t get me wrong, like any Romanian who thinks he knows better, I also believe some things could’ve been handled differently. But that doesn’t cancel out everything I said above. My main point is: FUD doesn’t help. Better aim for constructive feedback, not destructive noise.
