...it sounds like a totally different animal. Quite the opposite of excluding or limiting the #writingcommunity, it looks like it will connect Members of Communities, even who aren't following each other yet. This should broaden our family!

...if these initial indications are accurate, creating a Community called #WritingCommunity will make it much easier to break out of little bubbles of followers & get to know other #writers as well as brand new members who can have a hard time breaking in.

I walk among the remnants of Autumn's glittering gown, rent from her freckled shoulders by Winter's cruel & jealous fingers. Far fiercer than I, she feels no nostalgia for the torn threads: she will don a new gown next year & dance as wildly as if no Winter ever watched.

I’d like a way of chatting about writing with a smaller group, @MKBeker, but on the marketing end, there are more than enough spam ads for books. If anyone tells me that sells (more than a handful of) books, then I’ll reconsider.

I think some people could gain a little benefit from having access to a group: an easy source to find other writers outside of hashtags, a space to ask questions etc. But currently it’s a bit too early to tell if all the potential negatives will be worth navigating for these pros

If we move into a group, it then basically limits our activity to within that group. It excludes by default, because people likely won’t have the ability to maintain community promotion both within and without the community. And yes, then we risk circus. Do you use... /1
