The best title I have seen today
Just accepted in #RepFertDev- Sex, Drugs, and Rock Iguanas: Testicular dynamics and plasma testosterone concentrations could predict optimal semen collection times in Cyclura.

Surely the title alone makes this #newresearch worth staying tuned for?!
It's not every day you get to walk the Vice-Chancellor of UWA through your field work!
Delighted to visit UWA Ridgefield Agricultural Research Farm in Pingelly. A number of research projects of significance importance to WA are underway at this natural field laboratory. An example of @uwanews serving the people of WA.
A great morning, and an informative lecture!

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common reproductive disease which, alongside often debilitating symptoms, also reduces female fertility.
Recent research indicates that niacin reduces cystic follicles and improves ovulation in #PCOS rats: doi.org/10.1071/RD20306
Echidna on coin is to scale??? Be still my heart
Once again not trying to influence voting for the #BestEgg vote @ZoologyMuseum @JackDAshby but monotremes are the only mammals that hatch from eggs and because they are mammals they then drink milk from their mother. This is a 6 day old echidna with milk visible in its stomach.
I love this!

🥬 Did you know there's a garden on the @Space_Station? During his mission, @Astro_illini has harvested radishes, planted lettuce, & begun growing mustard greens and pak choi. The plants are a source of food, and a connection reminding the crew of Earth: go.nasa.gov/38sMjE3
Today, in science blowing my mind: the human nose can detect geosmin, the chemical odorant from falling rain, in as little as parts per billion. We don't reliably understand pheremone detection in our species, yet we can smell oncoming rain with canine-like precision.

My favourite part about this image is the genuine smiles from two women who love what they do.
My second favourite part is the strategically placed clipboard, covering the hole I ripped in the crotch of my pants jumping a barbed wire fence.
Megan's favourite part of a leading large team focussed on delivering research to Australian farmers is getting out onto farms to assist students develop their field research skills 👩🔬
