Funny thing about skill training is that it will absolutely help you improve. Even if your technique is shit. It may even clean up technique.
Technique training isn’t always going to make you better. Could make you worse.
“Getting better at #golf” is not always the best indication that what you’re doing is right.
Sometimes, you could have taken a different approach and improved by MUCH more.
Example - a player I know claimed that their method of improving (working for hours on swing aesthetics) worked because they were 3 shots better.
It took them 5 years of lots of practice for that.
If they had spent the same time working on skill training, they would have been much better.

Put in info (they ignore you if you don’t)
Wait… a while
Tech finally comes over: “did you put in your info?”
Yeah, but it was a while ago it probably timed out.
“No, it stays on the screen.”
Oh… that was me subtly saying you too long.
You’re not paying for the time. You’re paying for the solution.
The outcome.
The hot water for the next 15 years without worrying about it leaking.
You’re also competing against the people who will pay $1800.
Wants higher wages until he’s the one paying them
Replying to @uncvoss
Since a higher % of y'all said 'do it yourself'.
Fair. Plenty of people can’t. Renters, older homeowners, anyone without the tools, anyone with a leaking tank at 6 AM.
The question was never whether it can be done. It’s what is inside a $1,210 labor line for a two hour job.
Yeah, but today work weeks are 40 hours and sometimes it’s not enough to rent a climate controlled 2bd apartment, eat out twice a day, stream every piece of entertainment in history, then be well rested for 8 hours of office bullshit tomorrow.
We all have our challenges
In 1823, a 24 year old fur trapper named Jedediah Smith was leading a group through the Black Hills when a grizzly bear charged out of the brush and slammed into him.
The bear took his entire head into its mouth. It broke his ribs, tore his scalp open from his eye to his ear, and nearly ripped his ear completely off.
When the bear finally ran off, his men stood around in shock. Nobody knew what to do. So Smith, bleeding and barely conscious, told one of them to get a needle and thread and sew him back together.
The man stitched his scalp back down. Then he told Smith the ear was too far gone. Smith told him to sew it on anyway. So he did.
Ten days later, Smith was back on his horse. For the rest of his life he wore his hair long to cover the scars.
Then he went on to become one of the greatest explorers in American history.
In 1826, he led a party across the Mojave Desert and became the first American to reach California over land from the east. The Mexican governor thought he was a spy and ordered him out.
On his way back, he became the first person of European descent known to cross the Sierra Nevada from west to east, and then crossed the Great Basin desert, hundreds of miles with almost no water. At one point a man in his party collapsed from the heat, and they buried him in cool sand just to keep him alive while Smith went looking for water.
The next year, on another trip through the Mojave, his party was attacked and ten of his men were killed.
The year after that, in Oregon, he left camp one morning to scout ahead. While he was gone, his camp was attacked and fifteen of his men were killed. Smith and three others were the only survivors.
He carried a Bible everywhere, and was known for not drinking, not smoking, and not cursing, in a profession full of men who did all three.
By his early 30s he had walked, ridden, and paddled more of the American West than almost anyone alive.
In 1831, he was guiding a wagon train down the Santa Fe Trail. They were out of water, so he rode ahead alone to find some.
He ran into a band of Comanche warriors at the Cimarron River and was killed. He was 32.
His body was never found. His friends only learned what happened when Comanche traders showed up in Santa Fe trying to sell his rifle and pistols.
Correct in spirit but I think I’d word it differently.
Modern green speeds are too fast for greens that were built to roll 5-6
58 is replaced every year… could probably be replaced a little more often or I should practice with the previous year model and play the new one.
Other wedges are just replaced as irons
Average fed/state/local/payroll tax combined per taxpayer is ~$17,000
What if everyone just had to pay the same $ amount?
$1,400/mo is your subscription fee to the US. Everything else you can keep.
Here’s where I would go:
1. He cooks instead.
2. Grow up and try things.
3. A rotating menu of fkn hotdogs and chicken nuggets like he’s a toddler.

This isn’t gaming the system. This is getting your ass kicked in every net event
We’ve reached end times.
Recently watched a TikTok video of a kid explaining how you can “game” the handicap system.
Says to find a course that you play well, choose the front or back nine, and then exclusively play those nine holes until you know every inch of it.
GHIN accepts 9 hole scores. So voilà. You’re now a single digit handicap.
Bit of a blacked out -2 70 today where we missed 2 from 6’ and made a par from the greenside water.
But it was 70° in Ohio on October whateverthefuck today is
It was a lot of fun watching them suck for 15 years. But this time around might be better more because the entire country gets to enjoy it as well.
