I'm glad there's a word for that. Because I do it often. nitter.gq/anne_kreft/status/9946…

With @wpbl_official playoffs in full swing, here’s a look at the culture that’s being created in the league’s first season - complete with playlists of each team’s walk-up songs: kicktheconcrete.com/post/a-v…
The scariest book I’ve ever read is Rabid: A Cultural History of the World’s Most Diabolical Virus.
This is bad. Here’s hoping they are able to connect with everyone who visited them ASAP, before any symptoms appear.
At least three baby goats belonging to a North Carolina petting zoo have tested positive for rabies, prompting state health officials to issue an urgent warning to those who visited the operation's mobile menagerie since late July. abcnews.link/1ieMJfh
Delighted once again to see ACC’s Progenitor magazine and attend their reading. Beautiful work, in design and words. #ResistanceThroughArt
I’m late to the #NationalPenguinDay party but I want all of you to go right now and look up how Benedict Cumberbatch says “penguin” because you’ll be better for knowing it and penguins will suddenly get 700% cuter.
Today is #NationalPenguinDay so we're remembering that time we made a Penguin out of Penguin Books.
It's a Penguin Penguin. 🐧

Fantastic article from @LFuglei @ColoradoNewsCCM about the transformational power of education and the immeasurable value of non-profits like the Center for Work Education and Employment (CWEE). littletonindependent.net/new…
Said in my biggest teacher voice: “Inefficiency and friction is a big part of thinking” and we should remember, it’s also a big part of learning.
I want us to make mistakes. To wrestle. To be wrong and brought to clarity by those around us. That’s not weakness, it’s education.

Oh, did we all get this email?
Thanks for rejecting me three, two, and one year ago… sure I’ll come to your event.
Journals dipping into Submittable and sending sales/marketing emails, through Submittable, to writers they have rejected (years ago, with said pieces’ titles attached), is really not cool, and not classy.

Today was the day I finally ran into Aaron!! So happy NCTE is here and that our dean sprang for tickets for the whole department!!
Today was a great day at @ncte. It's been a few years since my last convention and I was glad that Denver gets a do over after 2020 Covid cancelation. I spent a lot of my time at the photo booth and loved every moment taking photos for folks. Got to meet a lot of folks from across the US and have a blast bringing a smile or two while doing it. It's an incredible thing to hear their stories and encourage them with compliments about their fits and listening to their stories. Looking forward to day 2!
Putting a close on another incredible month of programming around book bans. Librarian panelists shared their experiences with book challenges and bans and ACC students asked incredible questions.
Delighted to attend the ACC partner breakfast to think about how @ArapahoeCC continued to grow and support our community.
Oh no friends I accidentally closed the tabs for the mags I was going to submit poetry to. Who should I add as I rebuild my list?!??
Grateful to see the turnout at this memorial event. Thanks to my community for coming together.
Mark your calendars for 10/17 to join the rally, bike ride, and walk to honor the memory of Liam Stewart. Liam was killed by a Littleton car driver on October 17, 2023, while riding his bike to school. Come support safer biking in Colorado.
