When we play with small toys and resources, we are developing our motor skills and hand-eye coordination (and a long list of other skills). When we’re ready and motivated, we will choose to write through our play. @MpsMaddp2

We explored patterns within stories. We loved the story “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Can You See?” @MpsMaddp2
We were exploring many features of books today in P2M. Our word of the week is ‘spine’. Ask us to show you where you would find a spine on your body and on a book. We can even explain why our bodies and books need a spine. @MpsMaddp2
P2M were learning about patterns today. They used colour, shapes and objects to create their own patterns. @MpsMaddp2

We are looking to expand the types of texts we have available for our children to read. Can you donate any magazines, comics, joke books or old annuals? If so, please could these be put in the box at the front of the school from Monday 16th August. TIA @MPS_Reading @maddistonps
