I have been policing Changing of the Guard since 2018, and today was my last one before pastures new. To think I almost made it to the line without a single child getting their head stuck in the railings! Big thanks to @LFBWestminster for rescuing the day!

Please be advised that on Sunday, 12th October 2025, The Royal Parks Half Marathon takes place. Kindly note that there will be road closures in and surrounding Hyde Park, St. James’s Park, and The Green Park. Additionally, the Buckingham Palace Sunday Parade will not take place.

Today marked the 40th anniversary of the death of PC Keith Blakelock who was murdered on duty in Tottenham in 1985. At a memorial service in Muswell Hill this morning, Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley joined colleagues and family members to honour Keith's sacrifice and legacy.

Today's Changing The Guard was the final one carried out by the Royal Parks Police before we pass the baton to our Central West area colleagues. It was a bit emotional, but we’re proud to say we managed to reunite a lost child and ensure everyone had a fun and safe experience!
