There is that split second when our words, facial expression, and body language can determine far more than how the immediate problem gets resolved.

The other night a dinner a question came up that I couldn't let go of: Why does it feel like no one cares?
From the outside, inaction can look like indifference. But, I think we just need to find a way to make space for what matters most. mbbtllc.com/no-one-cares/

One thing I love about educational technology leadership is that it is never just about the technology. This work is challenging — and so important.

In the middle of everything it’s easy to forget why people do this work. But everyone has a reason.
As leaders, it’s not just about knowing your “why.” It’s about taking the time to understand theirs.
A good reminder heading into the year

AI can make our work faster.
But if we’re not careful - it can also distance us from it.
It’s not about what was written.
It’s about whether we can stand behind it.
Remember: Use AI to support your thinking, not replace it.

In the name of efficiency... are we letting AI replace us as professionals?
AI can support our work. But it shouldn’t speak for us.

Balance isn't always the goal and the words: Sometimes we try to balance where it doesn't belong. It tips. It spills. It creates more work. Real leadership creates the space so things don't have to be balanced so carefully to begin with.
I had an amazing time presenting to the IT teams at OKACTE! Great collaboration with professionals committed to strong data governance and compliance.
As the school year begins I find myself coming back to “Gotta have grace”
It’s something we say—but not always something we practice, especially when things get busy or don’t go as planned.
As you head into the year, set the tone early.
Give grace.

What does innovation really mean in the age of AI?
AI doesn’t define innovation.
How we think, solve problems, and create meaning does.
Tools change. Purpose doesn’t.
