Amorim and Carrick were given two completely different jobs. Amorim was brought in to implement a style of play - to reset habits, build structure, and change the identity of the team. That takes time. It also costs points in the short term. Carrick, on the other hand, is here for six months with one clear objective: get United into the Champions League. Nothing more. Nothing less. Short-term coaching is about maximising points. Long-term coaching is about building something sustainable. That’s why Carrick can collect more points with the same players Amorim was rebuilding. Amorim refused to take the easy route - sitting deep, playing safe, chasing quick fixes. He stuck to the process even when it hurt him. Some fans look at the table. Others look at the direction. That’s the difference.

ALL OF A SUDDEN Luke Shaw can not stay fit again but he did under Ruben Amorim Mainoo is injured and he always does whenever a manager is on the verge of a sack Marcus Rashford is injured but he was always fit for Barcelona. All of a sudden Bruno is out of form unlike him

I’m happy Carrick is staying, he has the ability to turn things around against Chelsea, let’s all support as good fans of this club.
I will fully trust Ineos if they keep Carrick after this game, he’s a family man, who’s going to feed his family if he’s sacked? Rome wasn’t built in a day!

Sacking Amorim may have set United back even further. No ambitious top coach will want to risk having their career ruined here. That’s why we’re stuck with Carrick. To everyone who called for Amorim’s sacking, your pain and suffering is only just beginning.

The reason Carrick isn't getting the sack is prolly because 1. INEOS dont want to lose money 2. Their preferred targets have rejected them especially how the hierarchy has destroyed managers here Not because of the crap they been yapping about players accountability

That is what Amorim does. Tactically brilliant and good player improvement. Best Young tactician in football right now

Out of hatred for Amorim, many of you started sounding gullible just to taunt that man but now you are the loudest to criticize the board despite praising them months ago 😏 Now you are to ashamed to admit defeat and blame Carrick cause you have shamelessly lost yur train of thought out of hatred 😏 Y’all deserve what is happening to us rn, only sad truth about it is that, even the smart/wise ones too are suffering it together with you clowns 🤡

“Now you’ve had the chance to reflect on what happened at Old Trafford where you’re still HUGELY POPULAR with a number of fans, how do you asses your time back in England?” Some accounts on X (Mainly Mainoo/Rashford profile pics) will convince you it’s revisionism. 🤷‍♂️

Why didn't you people decide to stand with Amorim despite the fact that he called your arses out? Why didn't you try to fix it with him? Why are you trying to keep a manager that is most definitely not going to improve the team? @INEOS, you're wicked..

I know for a fact that Carrick is still here bcuz those two clown “Wilcox and Vivell” haven’t come to a conclusion on who will be the next puppet. So as it stands, Carrick is working as an interim manager bcuz Wilcox hasn’t find the right puppet “Eddie Howe” that he can control.

“Bruno Fernandes is too good for Manchester United” he wasted his career here””he should leave and join a real top club like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid”bla bla bla… yet the only ones interested are Juventus, Galatasaray, AC Milan and the Saudi clubs. None of those are top clubs. How do you want him to go to a top club when no top clubs are interested in him?If he’s really that special, why has no elite side triggered his £57m release clause last summer? He’s not elevating us we’re the ones keeping his career and paycheck alive. United are doing him the favour.
Juventus, AC Milan and Galatasaray are all understood to be keen on Bruno Fernandes, who has a £57m release clause available to overseas clubs. It is thought Fernandes' preference is to stay at United, potentially for the remainder of his career [@sistoney67]

UNITED COULD SINK TO 18TH AFTER CHELSEA, AND CARRICK IS STILL IN CHARGE?! Ineos/Glazers must be completely clueless if they genuinely believe he’ll win another game before the inevitable happens. HOW MUCH WORSE DOES IT HAVE TO GET BEFORE THESE PEOPLE FINALLY ACT?!
🚨 Manchester United have decided to continue with Michael Carrick as head coach. Despite Bournemouth and Como defeats, #MUFC hierarchy decides to give Carrick more time to fix things. Player also informed. Up next: Chelsea-Man United on Saturday. Carrick will be there.

Since INEOS took of the sporting side of Man Utd, they’ve never gotten any decision right for once. This is concerning And they’ve appeared to be worse than the GLAZERS when it comes to decision making. What’s even annoying about this is that some “Real fans” will support them.
So as fans we're meant to get behind Carrick and the players because Wilcox and Sir Jim have decided that's the right thing to do. Yeah, that's just a major head fuck for the weekend. Backing this is back incompetence

When Ruben Amorim said Manchester United were going to suffer, many fans mocked him, the media questioned him, and people inside the club seemingly couldn’t wait to move on from him. Today, we are witnessing exactly the kind of suffering he warned us about. The lack of identity, tactical confusion, inconsistent performances and questionable decisions are exposing a club that chose impatience over a proper rebuild. Amorim wasn’t asking for sympathy. He was asking for time to build something. He understood the scale of the problem and knew that fixing Manchester United required discipline, structural changes and difficult decisions. Instead, the noise grew louder, agendas took over, and the club abandoned the process. NOW LOOK AT US. Still searching for answers, still questioning the manager, still watching the same problems return under different circumstances.
🚨💣 | BREAKING - There has been a brief from all club journalists at the same time: Manchester United are giving Michael Carrick and his staff the chance to turn the club's season around.
