As things stand, the clear tendency is that Bayern will not be active in the January transfer window, despite the recent wave of injuries. With the exception of Ismael Saibari, Bayern expect all other players to be available when the second half of the season starts on January 8th. Therefore, the club's management currently sees no urgent need to invest in the winter transfer window – also because the market is often difficult in January. Furthermore, Bayern are planning at least one more 'expensive' attacking signing in summer 2027, and they intend to save funds for this purpose as well
Max Eberl was asked after the Dortmund game [before yesterday's diagnoses] whether Bayern would have to buy new players in January, he replied in clear terms: "No, I don't think so. We don't even know yet what the results of the tests will be. Lucho is coming back, Jamal is coming back. It's not as if five players will be out for half a year."
