VIDEO UPDATE: Ahmed Zakka, who was abducted alongside his wife and their baby in Millennium City, Kaduna, has sent another desperate plea for help to his relatives.
In the heartbreaking video, he says his hand (right) has gone numb after being tightly tied with a rope by the bandits. He fears they may cut off his hand.
A whole family is in captivity, and Ahmed is pleading to be rescued before it is too late. His wife and innocent baby are also at the mercy of their captors.
My appeal is to the authorities and everyone who can help to do everything possible to secure their safe release.

That’s the point. Mallam doesn’t want a governor he can control, and Isa doesn’t want to be controlled either, their history is no secret, they have exchanged words before and have never truly seen eye to eye, but politics is not about friendship it is about interests. If rescuing Kaduna requires them to work together, they will. Shared political objectives have united far greater rivals than Mallam and Isa and in politics, yesterday’s opponent can become today’s partner when the stakes demand it.

Abba, who was once abducted by bandits, narrated how the driver of the vehicle they boarded allegedly led them into the k¥dna0ping incident and then escaped.
Abba said they boarded a vehicle from Gusau to Sokoto at the official New Gusau Motor Park. He was traveling together with other victims, Maryam and Yasmeen.
According to him, shortly after they began the journey, they stopped at a filling station to buy fuel and then continued their trip. After covering some distance, the driver started complaining that the vehicle had developed a fault. They stopped briefly for him to inspect it before proceeding again.
When they got close to a military checkpoint, where soldiers had stopped vehicles for inspection, the driver allegedly refused to stop and simply drove past the checkpoint.
A short distance later, Abba said he suddenly heard people praying and began seeing men with long hair, charms, and guns.
Before he could fully understand what was happening, he looked toward the driver’s seat and discovered that the driver was no longer there. The driver had fled, and no one saw how or where he escaped, leaving the passengers behind.

After watching various videos circulating about Salim Goje, along with screenshots of private chats allegedly shared by his second wife, I was reminded of an old interview I once watched.
I remembered a time when Salim Goje spoke with great joy and confidence about how Hafsat Kamal left her life in America and returned to Nigeria because of love and belief in the future they hoped to build together. He even emphasized that he would never betray her trust.
Life can be surprising. Sometimes, a story that begins with happiness and hope can take a turn that no one ever expected.
The lesson I take from this is that not everything we see on social media reflects the full reality of what happens behind closed doors.
May Allah resolve every difficulty between married couples, and grant them peace, understanding, and harmony. 🤲

In Kano, especially in markets like Kwari, there are young men around Salim Goje's age who are far wealthier than him. However, because of their culture and religious upbringing, they keep a low profile. People know they have money, but they do not know the true extent of their wealth. That is how the lives of young entrepreneurs seeking success should ideally be.
This is why, whenever Kano eventually reveals its wealthy individuals, it is usually to the surprise of the world. Their wealth was not made overnight; it was accumulated quietly over many years. The world only becomes aware of it when it reaches a level that can no longer be hidden.
The reason I mention this is that, for someone of his age, Salim Goje has exposed himself too much. This is not because I am from Kano, but I believe that if Salim Goje truly carried the Kano business mentality, he would have remained discreet while continuing to build himself and his businesses. Then, years later, people would suddenly hear of his success without knowing exactly where it came from, just as happened with AA Rano, Aliko Oil & Gas, AY Me Kifi, SUFAYE, and others.
The lifestyle Salim Goje has chosen is not one that increases wealth; it is one that drains it. Yes, there is fame, but when you constantly surround yourself with actors, TikTok influencers, and celebrities, pay for songs to be made about you, and appear in videos dancing alongside them, that is not the kind of lifestyle a person seeking long-term business success should embrace. It is a lifestyle that consumes money without generating investment returns. Once that money is spent, it is gone and does not come back with profit.
Anyone observing Salim Goje's life today will notice that even his real estate business no longer seems to receive the attention it deserves. Some may argue that he has employees handling it, but serious business-minded people will understand what I mean. He is constantly attending events, celebrations, and social gatherings.
May Allah guide him to make positive changes, abandon excessive worldly distractions, and continue building his business. Ameen.
