"This could potentially be done without changing the building form, footprint or height. From the outside, no change would be visible. Despite being a modest attic conversion, this still required a development approval" Negative Ghostrider. 0% chance I'd be applying for a DA.

If the old saw of "1/3 own, 1/3 mortgage, 1/3 rent" is true, it's only people who bought their first home in the past 8 to 10 years who are going to substantially suffer. If you bought 15 or 20 years ago and still have a mortgage, these raises don't materially affect you.

No threat if the man with the gun has been trained properly. These guys are all within 15 feet and no-one is pointing a firearm at the offender.

Why are none of these police pointing a firearm at the offender? Why are they all within 15 feet of an offender with a knife?

Right up there with the classic CUintheNT campaign.
Tourism Australia should use this video to promote tourism in Australia Doesn’t get more Australian than this 🇦🇺

There was once a shepherd who found a wolf caught in a snare at the edge of his pasture. The wolf begged to be freed. “I was hungry,” it said. “That is all. Spare me, and I will remember your mercy!” The shepherd cut the rope. The next night, three lambs were gone. Again the shepherd found the wolf. Again it pleaded. Again the shepherd convinced himself that mercy was proof of his goodness. By winter, half the flock was dead. An old farmer finally asked him, “Why do you keep freeing it?” The shepherd answered, “Because I refuse to become cruel.” The farmer looked at the empty field and said, “Then understand what you have done. You were not merciful to the wolf. You were cruel to everything that trusted you to keep them safe.” That’s the lesson. Mercy without judgment isn’t virtue. When someone openly intends to destroy what has been entrusted to you, endless forgiveness doesn’t make you righteous. It makes everyone behind you pay for your vanity.

Your kids are not a "distraction" from your job. Your kids *are* the job.
I felt this deep in my soul. No child should feel this way. 😞

The downward slide started with private certification, and culminated with mass 3rd world migration. No-one trusts a Lebanese skyscraper built by Middle Eastern and Subcontinental labor.

I'd prefer we go after the 1300 illegitimate NDIS "providers" in Lakemba, and expand the search from there.

King Æthelstan, the first King of England died on this day 1087 years ago. Æthelstan fulfilled his grandfathers dream of a united England, defeating the last of the invading forces within England. Hail Aethelstan, the first king of England!

I think it's for people judged unable to cook for themselves in stay-at-home care. This option would remove the need for someone on-site 3 times per day to cook and feed them. Just a guess.

The problem is preferences. If LNP/ON don't agree to direct all preferences to each other, Labor are returned with the help of the Communist vote.

My house has a 2006 Crestron Pro 2 system with Adagio audio distribution. It's so old, it has MIPS ColdFire processors. Three times in 20 years now, I've paid system integrators close to five figures each to program it because Crestron is totally proprietary. When it goes out of date, you're at their mercy. Or are you? I pointed ChatGPT Astra at the LAN IP address and pretty soon it had extracted all of the zone names. Next it got power control and volume control. Finally, I had it extract track and title info from the running stream. Then I had it put together a basic web UI so I could stick it on an iPad in the kitchen. This took 90 minutes.

It's as though we can predict what happens when a society gets Islamized.
Wow, this is what Yemen looked like in the 1960s under British rule. That was over half a century ago, but it looked decades more advanced than Yemen does today. It’s almost unbelievable compared to what the country has become. And it’s a testament to how quickly a country can collapse once Islam reigns supreme.
