Congratulations to Dr. @MaddyFederle , who successfully defended her thesis entitled “Bubble Dynamics and Coalescence: bubble-droplet filtration and microgravity bubble emulsions”!🚀🚀 She has been such a vital part of Zenit Lab during her tenure as a PhD student - Congrats! 🫧

Unfortunately couldn't make it to ICMF in Toulouse this year, but proud to share that my student @MaddyFederle presented her exciting work on bubble emulsions in microgravity @brownengin. Great to see the next generation pushing boundaries! 🚀🫧 #ICMF2025 #FluidDynamics

Using science to explain the everyday world, Brown researchers from Professor Roberto Zenit's lab used the physics of a special unreturnable shot in squash to further the science behind shock-dampening technologies of mechanical systems. brown.edu/news/2025-06-12/ni…

This week, @MaddyFederle and I got to test our homogeneous isotropic turbulence chamber in microgravity at @NASAglenn! During the drop, the experiment experiences 2.2 seconds of microgravity, allowing us to study multiphase flows in microgravity. Stay tuned for more🫧 @brownengin
Thrilled to share that my second paper is now published in the International Journal of Multiphase Flows! Check it out here: authors.elsevier.com/a/1jWwO…

Our very own Roberto Zenit gave an excellent talk on the criteria for transition from stable to unstable bubble chain in carbonated drinks. When he gave the selected audience @PhysRevFluids ducks, the whole room ‘quack’ed up! (Pun intended)
