Rook arched a brow a she lifted a forkful of roasted fish into her mouth, snickering a little. Swallowing the bite, she shook her head, looking at her dining companion with an amused expression. "You haven't even seen me in action.... But since there's no one to tell you +
He placed a drink order for himself. Thinking this was s good opportunity to make a companion, he decided to stick around. "Yup, that'll do it. I've had my fair share of run-ins with monsters, demons and all sorts of other shit. You seem to be pretty skilled."

"I see... Most of these scars come from hunting demons and blood mages, if you must know. Well, the newer ones anyway..." She paused as her food was brought to the table, keeping the bartender from leaving long enough to place another drink order for herself and +
"No. I was just curious, is all. I have a lot of respect for anyone who can have scars like yours and live to tell about it, no matter the profession." He had no issue with mages, really. He just wanted to know more about her.

"That a problem for you?" she asks, a little defensively. She knows outside of her homeland of Tevinter, magic still has some stigma. More than that, she knows that most outsiders are taught that all the mages of Tevinter are more than willing to make blood sacrifices for +
"Only to someone who's fought as much as we have. I can tell you were in need of a strong drink, so I covered that for you. You're a mage, huh?" He leaned forward in interest.

"Call me Rook." She flashed a smile as she leaned back in her chair. "Didn't think I'd stand out a much as I clearly did here...."
It was a fairly nice accent to listen to. He nodded as he sat down. "Don't mention it. I figured you had a long night, so a drink might've helped you out. Cloud's my name. How about yours?"

"Not at all," she replied, her accent giving her voice a lilting tone. "Thanks for the drink. Figured I might as well get your name before you head out."
Regardless of her profession, he still admired the fact that she's a noble fighter. It piqued his interest, so he grabbed a chair. "You mind if I join you?"

A keen eye. She was a soldier at one point, and continues fighting for her homeland in less official capacity currently. Warrior, though, not so much. She is very much a mage. A war mage, but still a mage.
Before he could walk out, he catches her waving at him through the corner of his eye. Curious, he walks over to see if she needed anything. "Hey. You're welcome for the drink, if that's what you called me over for." He had his arms at his side as he spoke, admiring her-

She'll wave him over, but she won't go so far as to get up when she has food coming. A hand lifts, hovering in a wave before calloused fingers with scarred knuckles raked through crimson tresses. She hopes he gets the message and stops by to talk, but she won't+
Well, if she wants to thank him, now would be a good time. He's standing up and paying for his drinks before he starts walking out of the bar. She might jot get another shot if she doesn't stop him now.

She's honestly the same way. She prefers when people seek her attention rather than seeking it out herself. That said, if the other catches her attention as well, she might be more agreeable in the interaction. Or if they buy her a drink.
He looked back at her and lifted his own glass in a salute of his own, drinking a bit more as he stayed right where he was. He didn't wanna bother her any further after buying her a drink. He likes to keep to himself, mostly. That is, unless someone approaches him.

Huh... Well, so much for blending in... She took the drink, frost creeping across the glass surface as she held it. Once the liquid within was chilled to her liking, she tossed it back. Lifting the now empty glass in a belated salute to the sender, +
He noticed her walk in and paid no mind at first, but then he caught something that resonated with him: a weapon and the clear signs that she got done fighting a hard battle of sorts. Seeing this, he called the bartender over and ordered a drink. Not for him, but for her. A-

Rook set her staff beside the chair she sank into, resting her head in her hands for a moment before perusing the menu. She was as starving as she was in need of a stiff drink, fighting demons and cultists and Darkspawn was draining work after all. Choosing a whiskey and one +
The mercenary was at the same bar she happened to walk into, taking a drink of some of the hardest liquor they had to offer after a night of slaying monsters for money. Yeah, this is how he blows off steam after working. With his sword on his back, he kept drinking away-

馃悕Gonna be resetting this account. Reworking this incarnation of Rook, especially her personality, so will need to restart from scratch on interactions. So uh... Like this for an interaction while I attempt to get screenshots for a new pinned and all that.

@MercenaryOfMako It had been another living nightmare of a day for Rook, and she was in need of a drink. Rather than disturb her team with her troubles, the Veilguard's commander decided to venture out of the Lighthouse for her liquor tonight, braving the Crossroads in +
