While I do wish we were getting the creature from the black lagoon boat ride, Universal is Universal and they have always been known to stick to what they’re good at rather than try something different.
I’m hoping a boat ride comes to HTTYD, but I’m not holding my breath
This does make me worry for Pokemon.
Epic clearly needs indoor capacity. Something tells me Universal announcing this means this project jumped Pokemon as a priority, which ultimately will delay our finished project over at the former Lost Continent
Love that Monsters is getting the Indoor Coaster treatment before Potter.
Dark Universe and Monsters Unchained blows Ministry out of the water and it’s getting the attention it deserves!
The current lightning lane system (multi pass)….actually really improved my trip this round.
Is it perfect? Not at all. Is it over priced? Kinda but only on the basis that it was originally free.
But each day I racked up like 7-10 lightning lanes, none of them felt throwaway
Why do we have 2 water parks at this point?
NEW: The annual water park refurbishment switch is now on the calendar, with Typhoon Lagoon set to reopen and Blizzard Beach set to close in late January 2027

Don’t know if this is a hot take or not but I enjoyed the Hollywood Studios Christmas decorations more than Magic Kingdoms
Welp, worst part of the Disney trip is always the last day. Really enjoyed this one. Parks felt slower and well maintained!
And as always, Baylake Towers did not disappoint!

We ran into only one issue on this trip and I really want to thank the cast members at both the Riviera and Bay Lake Towers for being extremely accommodating and understanding. I truly felt the Disney Difference and it was because of them

Better Zoogether is a crime. Having it as a multi camera streaming show, rather than a stage show like Tough to be a Bug just feels super inconsistent.
Really hoping Monsters Inc doesn’t make the same mistake, otherwise, the game is gone
Disneyland’s Adventureland is truly the one park area that absolutely mauls WDW’s in every category.
You can make an argument for the other lands (maybe not Frontierland in its current state) but Adventureland at WDW needs some love!
Call me crazy here, but construction walls in the Magic Kingdom bring back a strange nostalgia of the early 2010s when I was insanely hyped for New Fantasy Land.
I like the feeling, even if the hype was better than the final product. Nostalgia is indeed a hell of a drug
The Space Ranger Spin Update was insanely necessary. The game is playable now and re-ridable. So happy with that update!
For years people have compared WDW’s Thunder to DL’s, stating DL is better because of its finale.
Personally, I don’t think either is great enough to justify one being better than the other…but WDW’s Queue makes it far superior and that isn’t talked about enough.
New Thunder Mountain thoughts:
Feels weird that it’s smoother than Mine Cart now but I like it. Hope it gets rougher with time. New theme was…interesting but not enough to say “hey this is an upgrade or a downgrade”
I’m a peaceful man.
But don’t ever threaten to replace the WDW Space Mountain. Like keep that shit off my timeline while I’m still standing
