Our response to booing at last night's @England game.
Taking a knee was a gesture chosen by the players as a stance for greater racial equality in football. It is important to reiterate they have said explicitly that it was not intended to be connected to any specific political movement. All the players and staff who wear the Three Lions shirt with pride share a collective voice in the fight against racism. To those that booed, we ask you to support them irrespective of the gesture they use. The actions and support of all fans can send a powerful message across the whole country that football is united in the fight against racism.

Petition launched to enforce the 50+1 ownership rule (as used in Germany) for football clubs in the UK. There will always be cynicism but meaningful change in club ownership is fundamental. Strike while the iron is hot. Sign here: petition.parliament.uk/petit…

Bring in a law which enforces professional football clubs to have at least 51% fan ownership similar to how the Bundesliga operates this rule.

Replying to @MattBoughton93
@MattBoughton93 @craigtuckerKM @davidnaghi_1 @tracey_crouch. I met with reps from MBC 7 days before this notification and this wasn’t mentioned at all. Another nail in the coffin of local football. I have offered try to resolve this but there silence speaks volumes.
