Today's Prayer ✝️ Dear God, I’m sorry. I’m sorry for every time I said I would change, only to slip back into the same patterns. I’m sorry for claiming to follow You while neglecting Your word and letting the distance grow between us. I’ve let You down more times than I can remember, yet I thank You for this new day and for the way Your mercy meets me again each morning. Please give me the strength to truly turn from these habits and the desire to seek You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Ladies, have you noticed how easily men walk away these days? You say "no" ONCE, and suddenly he respects your decision a little TOO well. No chasing, no convincing, no "please, give me a chance." He disappears like you were never part of his plans. And now you're sitting there wondering… did he respect my boundaries, or was he just waiting for a reason to leave?

One thing we should be careful about as Christians is assuming that being corrected means we are being rejected. Sometimes, love tells us what we need to hear, not just what we want to hear. The question is: are we humble enough to receive correction and grow?

My husband started coming home later than usual on Thursdays. He said the new project at work required late meetings. He would shower as soon as he entered the house and go straight to bed. I didn’t argue. I just started checking the mileage on his car. It was adding more kilometers than the office route explained. One Thursday I followed him. He didn’t go to the office. He parked outside a hotel two towns away and walked in without looking around. I sat in the car for forty minutes, then went inside. At the reception I gave his name and said I was his wife and he had forgotten his phone charger. Yes, I admit I lied, but I didn't recognize who I was becoming with the doubts in my heart after all the covenants we made on our first matrimonial night. The woman behind the desk smiled and said, β€œRoom 214. He’s been coming every Thursday for almost three months. Always the same room.” I took the stairs. When I reached the door I heard a woman’s laugh. I didn’t knock. I used the spare key card the receptionist had given me without thinking. He was on the bed. The woman was someone I recognized, she worked in the same building as him, two floors below. They both froze when the door opened. He sat up so fast the sheet fell. I saw his manhood slip from her waist, β€œIt’s not what it looks like,” he said. I looked at her. She pulled the sheet higher and wouldn’t meet my eyes. I closed the door quietly and walked back to my car. I drove home, packed one suitcase, and left before he could return. He called all night. He left voice notes saying it was a mistake, that it meant nothing, that he still loved me. I listened to the first one. In it he said, β€œShe doesn’t even know your name.” Two days later the woman sent me a message on Instagram. She said she was sorry. She said he had told her we were separated. She said he had shown her divorce papers that were never filed. I didn’t reply to her either. Last week I saw him at our daughter’s school event. He was standing with the same woman. She was holding his arm the way she used to hold it in the hotel room. Our daughter ran to him and he picked her up and smiled at me over her head like nothing had ever happened. I smiled back. Actually am not ready to had a heart attack because I was unfortunate to have a husband like him, As a woman I know am loaded, for our daughter's sake we can still live together. But I will never make the mistake of making him my husband again or ever marry another man. Seems happiness wasn't meant for everybody no matter how beautiful you are.

Dear God, quiet my mind. That's where I need to start today, because so many things are pulling at my attention and trying to take my peace. Your word in Psalm 94:19 says, "In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul." And God, I'm tired of pretending this isn't a weak spot for me, so I'm asking You to show up right here. I've been trying to carry tomorrow today, answering questions nobody's asked and solving problems that haven't happened. Help me stay in today. If it's something I can change, give me the strength to do it, and if it's something I can't control, help me leave it in Your hands. I give my mind to You today. In Jesus' name, Amen. Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble. -Psalm 119:165
