ALT Starting this year, MHC and MSL are joining up with MWPA to make the Read ME program even better. The Read ME summer reading program has always aimed to elevate the work of up-and-coming Maine authors–in part by enriching the ways we bring together established Maine authors with folks just getting their voices out. We are excited to deepen our relationship with the vibrant community of Maine writers through this partnership. And we can’t wait to see what more we will be able to do together!

ALT Image from the Maine Humanities Council: on a blue background it says Meredith Hall Statewide Author Talk in bold, white letters. On the left is a black and white photo of Meredith Hall, a white woman with light hair, smiling and resting her hands on the back of a chair, chin resting on her hands. In the center is an image of her book Beneficence, which pictures a lush field with pine trees lining the horizon. The shadow of a person can be seen cast across the tall grass. On the right it reads, "Statewide Author Talk, hosted by Maine State Library and Maine Humanities Council, August 25th, 2022, 7PM. Zoom Registration Link In Bio."
