Monday: Rightmove's new homes page still promised "over 900,000 new build properties". This morning: gone. Same story as the 900k/200k figures it called "historic", which archived records show vanished in April 2025 - then came back in May. Historic things don't usually come back. Was it because traffic dipped without the false numbers so they decided to sneak them back?

Last month Rightmove quietly deleted two numbers from its Google listings: "over 900,000 for sale" and "over 200,000 to rent". Right before we took it to the ASA. They'd been there since 2010. 16 years. Never substantiated. Makes you think about another organisation that's spent sixteen years not playing by the same rules as everyone else (of course, Man City have appealed ...)
