Sam Altman's one-person company prediction is coming true. Anthropic just bought one. The founder of Mithril Medicine used Claude to take a muscular dystrophy antibody treatment from concept to proof-of-principle in mice in 18 months, with just himself, Claude, and part-time consultants. The technical report is great. I will quote: 'The week opened with the handover of two cell-based assays, cell adhesion and flow cytometry, within our team, while eleven questions remained open with the assay CRO. In two sentences, one of us asked Claude to review the latest emails between the outgoing assay lead and the assay CRO and to recommend next steps for the handover, and gave it the link to the handover folder. Claude returned a bottom line after 96s and a full plan with five drafted emails after 18 min. For the full plan it read six email threads, the handover folder, two slide decks and two reports, all in the mailbox and file store to which we had given it access. Four working days later, nine of the eleven questions had an answer in writing and the other two had been left to pilot experiments. The adhesion screen was thereby set out in writing. The CRO drew the plate map to the format that our team had requested, Claude compiled the run order and the material calculation from the production data, and one of us reviewed and approved them. On day 4, the production CRO delivered its data package, a report of 341 pages, which one of us forwarded to Claude in two sentences, with the request to review it, share observations and recommend next steps. Claude returned a bottom line after 2 min 40s and, once it had read every page, a visual synthesis of all 113 constructs after 7 min 53s. The synthesis arranged the constructs on the grid of 14 by 8 arms. Claude marked 82 constructs for screening as is, seven for additional polishing, and the 24 constructs of three laminin-binding arms to be held back from the cell-based assays on production criteria. Each of the 113 constructs thus had a proposed next step in less than 8 min. Claude had recommended binding kinetics for all 113 con-structs, and on day 7 one of us challenged this plan. Claude defended it within 27s, arguing that affinity would show whether the three arms merit further work. One of us overruled this recommendation and set the three arms aside on production criteria. Their material remains in storage. Four minutes later, Claude had revised its memo, the working page, the run order and three unsent drafts from 113 to 89 constructs. It had also applied the ruling to three dependent steps in the unsent drafts, each flagged for our veto. The exchange took 7 min 36s from challenge to new plan, and every affected email was still an unsent draft. After the ruling, eight emails drafted by Claude went out on the same day to three CROs and a consultant. Over the whole week, Claude drafted 17 emails, each in answer to a request from one of us, and we sent 12 of them, each after editing. With its drafts, Claude listed 41 points, such as tube fills, shipping conditions, recipients and assay settings, for which it had found no written statement of ours, so that we could confirm, change or strike each before sending. We kept some, struck others and changed one. Among the passages that we kept were proposals for controls. One draft proposed a comparison of polished and unpolished material on one sensor chip, to size the error that impurities cause in the rest of the panel. Another requested a buffer control diluted like the most dilute sample, so that any effect of the buffer appears at its largest. These proposals concerned the measurement of constructs that had already been produced, and each reached a CRO only after one of us had reviewed and approved it.
Dr Mythos is on the job.

🚨🚨 THE DEMOCRACY FILES / ILLEGITIMACY PLAYBOOK, PART 11: NOT-SO-INDEPENDENT SENATE CAMPAIGNS OF DAN OSBORN (NE) AND BRIAN BENGS (SD) 🚨 Two Senate candidates running as independents have ties to Renew American Democracy, the project ran by ex-USAID workers to restructure American governance. And one of them admits on video they've been "coordinating." According to the polls, "independent" Dan Osborn is in a toss-up race with Ricketts in Nebraska. Emerson has South Dakota "independent" Brian Bengs within single digits of Mike Rounds. The strategy is to elect enough independents to deny either party a governing majority—and use their votes as leverage for structural reforms. Osborn's 2024 field director, Austen Campbell, laid out the plan: "We have a goal for 2026 to run a slate of independents and deny both political parties the majority in the House of Representatives in hopes of getting an independent speaker." Bengs said echoed that on a September 2026 Renew to Thrive call: "We don't need to get 50 or 51 to change things. We just need a handful." In their words, this handful is to do "arm-twisting" to get the structural reforms they want. ➡️ Paul Zeitz's May 2026 Concept Note: open primaries, ranked-choice voting, and "independent" redistricting. ➡️ RAD's Constitution Emergency Response draft: an Article V convention with amendments on "campaign finance and voting rights restoration, healthcare, education, and economic security, and ecological rights and climate accountability." The draft calls that the MODERATE strategy. And the political objective extends beyond reforming elections. In 2023, Walt Roberts told the man who now runs the Independent National Convention that stopping the MAGA GOP was "job one." As for ending the two-party duopoly? "That's very secondary right now." Put those statements together. A plan to deny both parties a majority. Candidates running as independents. A small voting bloc positioned to extract concessions. A documented list of proposed constitutional and electoral changes. And a stated priority of stopping the MAGA GOP. The question for Nebraska and South Dakota voters is whether they know what these candidates' political allies have been planning... and whether Osborn and Bengs share those objectives.

FIN.

🚨ALERT: The editors of the journal Men and Masculinities will no longer allow authors to refer to individuals as being "male." If an author uses the term, they should "specify which dimension(s) of sex are at issue, since sex itself refers to several only loosely correlated dimensions rather than a single underlying fact." For example, trans-identifying male swimmer Lia Thomas must be referred to as a woman, and his maleness, if mentioned at all, must be attached to specific traits, like genitals, hormones, and chromosomes. You cannot call Lia Thomas a "male" in this journal, but a woman with "male genitals" and "male sex chromosomes." The first author of this editorial—the Managing Editor of Men and Masculinities, Tristen Kade—is a woman who identifies as a man. The model of biological sex this editorial is pushing is what I refer to in my scholarly article "Why There Are Exactly Two Sexes" as the "multi-level" sex model. This model is not merely wrong—it is self-refuting. From my article: "Traits are labeled 'male-typical' or 'female-typical' only because they correlate with organisms already identified as male or female—an identification that, in anisogamous species, is made ultimately by reference to gametes." At Auschwitz, Josef Mengele stood on the selection ramp and called: “Zwillinge heraus.” Twins, step forward. He pulled roughly 1,500 pairs of children—mostly Jewish and Roma—from the trains. They received slightly better food and a separate barracks. Then the work began. One twin was injected with disease, phenol, or unknown substances. The other served as the living control. Eye drops meant to change color produced blindness and permanent damage. Surgeries occurred without anesthesia. When one child died, the other was frequently killed the same day so both could be dissected side by side. Of the estimated 3,000 children, only about 200 survived. In occupied Manchuria, Japan’s Unit 731 under Shirō Ishii called prisoners “maruta”—logs. Thousands of Chinese civilians, POWs, and others were deliberately infected with plague, anthrax, cholera, or typhoid, then vivisected without anesthesia so researchers could observe the disease in living tissue. Frostbite tests, pressure chambers, limb amputations and reattachments, forced impregnation followed by further experiments. No one is documented to have left the facility alive. Those were secret, lethal experiments on captives under wartime totalitarian regimes, driven by racial ideology or bioweapons development. The doctors recorded their results, shipped organs to institutes, and most escaped full accountability. Decades later, under a different ideology, another cohort of doctors began chemically and surgically altering the healthy developing bodies of minors experiencing gender distress. Puberty blockers (GnRH agonists) followed by cross-sex hormones. The claimed justification: affirmation of an internal identity, reduction of dysphoria, prevention of suicide. The evidence base has not held. The UK’s Cass Review (2024), drawing on systematic reviews by the University of York, concluded the evidence for puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones in adolescents is “remarkably weak” and “wholly inadequate.” No reliable evidence of long-term benefit for dysphoria or mental health. Clear risks to bone density; fertility and sexual function compromised or destroyed; effects on cognitive and psychosexual development unknown. The UK ended routine NHS use of puberty blockers. Sweden, Finland, Norway, and others restricted them to research or exceptional cases, returning to psychosocial approaches first. Historical data showed high desistance rates for childhood-onset dysphoria when left untreated. The post-2010s surge has been overwhelmingly adolescent-onset and female, with elevated rates of autism, trauma, anxiety, and depression. The interventions are irreversible for many: sterility, loss of sexual function, lifelong medical dependence, unknown cognitive impacts. Internal documents from activist medical groups have acknowledged that many minors cannot fully grasp the permanence. Systematic reviews of benefit were weak or absent; dissent was often treated as ideological rather than scientific. When the current ideological framework loses its institutional power, when the evidence is examined without political pressure, and when a full accounting occurs, the chemical and surgical medicalization of healthy minors for gender distress will be viewed by future medical historians as a profound ethical failure—on the same order of horror as the earlier experiments that treated children as material for an unproven theory.

We live in an age of wonders.
The drug class we are developing, Claromers, kill nearly all known germs (bacteria, viruses, fungi, and biofilms) with one simple devastating mechanism that has avoided microbial resistance for over 200 million years. Claromers mimic a natural defense peptide in the human body called LL-37. Each Claromer molecule is very small, only dozens of atoms big - about 1/3 the size of the natural peptide. It is like a spear - a destructive end and a holding shaft or tail end. The shaft side is hydrophobic, which means it is water-avoiding and does not like to touch water. The other side - the pathogen destroyer - is highly positively charged (called “cationic” in science literature), like a powerful magnet that pulls toward anything negatively charged (called “anionic” in science). Stanford bioengineering Assoc Prof Barron and colleagues wrote in a recent study of Claromers: “These amphipathic peptoids self-assembled in different ways, as determined by small-angle X-ray scattering; some adopt helical bundles, while others form core−shell ellipsoidal or worm-like micelles.” That means the groups form either short twisted bundles, like worms, or small oval shapes like a football. 🏈 The self-assembly into these nano structures I. the watery fluids of the body because the water-avoiding shaft-tails point inward toward each other , away from the water. The positive pathogen-killer ends stick outward like sharpened spears. The molecules stick together on their own into tight groups. These groups attack like a three-dimensional Greek phalanx, a tight formation of soldiers. Like a football made of spears. The spears face out. Because each molecule is so tiny its mass is almost zero. When the positive killer ends feel the pull of the germ’s outer covering they accelerate from standing still to nearly the speed of light with almost no friction, like lightning bolt ⚡️ leaping towards the pathogen. The killer-football formation hits all at once the with huge kinetic energy and blows apart the outer membrane of the pathogen. The germ cannot survive. It is destroyed in a microsecond. Barron and colleagues also wrote: “While self-assembly correlated overall with antibacterial efficacy... Certain self-assembled morphologies seem better-suited for antibacterial activity.” The football 🏈 hits harder. We choose the super effective oval shapes that mass the spears for the strongest hit.

1/2: EPEC Team’s Senior Data Analyst Rick Naigle reports a 'statistically extreme' # of rejected ('unmarked') mail-in ballots in 15 VA localities during early voting. In some places, as high as 90% of ballots set aside a day. It's way outside the statewide avg. of 1.5% per 100.

Governor Newsom on 17 October: "The whole - the system's broken. It's completely unbalanced. And you can't - we can't manage the decline. We have to completely reimagine." Then within the files, I see very similar language: "The system is broken — and it cannot fix itself." Does that mean the specific ex-USAID workers we've been tracking are controlling Newsom? No. But as you've seen throughout these files, every individual in the ecosystem belongs to multiple NGOs and alliances. They network constantly. They attend each other's conferences. They form coalitions on similar projects. They give each other feedback. That's how they develop a hive mind. The proposed methods may differ from group to group, but they are all converging on one goal: America governance must be rewritten from top down, and soon.

🚨🚨 THE DEMOCRACY FILES / ILLEGITIMACY PLAYBOOK, PART 8: THE COMPLICIT FEDERAL WORKERS 🚨 In Drop 7, we saw Paul Zeitz type during a Zoom call: "We are also starting to consult federal workers on how to do some blocking inside the govt agencies during emergency situations - but please do not put that on the form." Excuse me? Actively blocking the federal government during an "emergency situation?" And how are federal workers involved with Renew American Democracy (RAD), a group whose primary mission is to a fundamental rewrite of our Constitution? Turns out, a certain federal workers alliance, FWAD, is working closely with RAD on their goal to rewrite America. FWAD is the Federal Workers Alliance for Democracy, formerly known as "Federal Workers Against DOGE." RAD's published strategy lists FWAD among its endorsers. But FWAD isn't just an endorser. It is a founding partner of the Nationwide Deliberation Campaign (NDC). The goal is "a national People's Proposal of structural reforms" - which, in RAD's other videos and strategy documents, is planned to occur just after the federal government has been declared illegitimate. In a nutshell: with no federal government, a representative (read: DEI) panel of citizens will be assembled, their input collated and stitched into a new constitution for the Fourth Founding. But that is not the only path for restructuring. A concept note also proposes "Constitutional amendments," with "state ratification strategies." Either way, all evidence points to that the NGOs in the Block lane know their goal is to rewrite American governance. All the receipts are in this video. 👇 Note: two current federal workers were in the files. As they are not public figures, I withheld these names. I gave them over to contacts in their agencies instead.

OpenAI just announced that its model proved the Standard Model of physics actually exists. That sounds absurd. It's not. For 70 years, physics has had a dirty secret. Quantum field theory is the most accurate theory humanity has ever built. It predicts properties of the electron to more than 10 decimal places. The LHC, the Higgs boson, the chips in your phone all run on it. And yet no mathematician had ever proven it exists. Physicists have been using it like a recipe that works every single time, without anyone being able to prove the dish is a coherent object. We built cathedrals for 70 years on foundations nobody had verified. The problem is so hard that in 2000 the Clay Institute made it one of its 7 Millennium Prize Problems, $1M each. In 26 years, only one has been solved (Poincaré, by Perelman, who refused the money). Here's the timeline OpenAI just published: September 9, 2026: their model produces a proof that Yang–Mills theory exists. September 18: it extends it to QCD, the full theory of the strong force, with quarks. Then to a completion of the Standard Model. October 16: the Yang–Mills proof is formalized in Lean, meaning a machine checked every single logical step. To understand why this is insane, you need to understand the problem. Forget particles as tiny balls. The universe is made of invisible oceans stacked on top of each other: an electron field, a photon field, a gluon field. A particle is just a wave on one of those oceans. But in quantum mechanics, the oceans are never calm. They ripple at every scale. Zoom in, you see smaller ripples. Zoom in again, smaller still. It never stops. So when you do the math, those fluctuations add up to infinity. Physicists found a trick called renormalization: subtract one infinity from another, and what's left matches experiment perfectly. It works. But mathematically it's duct tape. Nothing guaranteed there was a real object underneath. Now the hardest case: Yang–Mills, the theory of gluons. Gluons are the glue holding quarks together inside every atom in your body. And unlike light, they interact with each other. Two light beams pass through each other. Two gluons collide and stick. The field feeds on itself. That's what made it untameable. The key that unlocks it won David Gross the 2004 Nobel Prize: asymptotic freedom. The strong force gets weaker the closer you look. Think of a rubber band between two fingers. Close together, it's slack and the fingers move freely. Pull them apart, the tension explodes. That's why you never see a lone quark. And that's the gift: the infinities come from tiny scales, and tiny scales are exactly where the theory goes calm. You zoom in, the monster falls asleep. The method: turn spacetime into a grid, like pixels. On a grid, everything is finite. Then refine the grid, again and again, and prove the picture converges instead of exploding. A mathematician named Balaban did a huge part of this in the 1980s and never finished. The construction sat open for 40 years. According to OpenAI, the AI closed it. Now look at who's reviewing it. David Gross, the Nobel laureate whose mechanism makes the proof work. Arthur Jaffe, who literally wrote the Millennium Prize problem and co-founded the Clay Institute. Plus Douglas, Klebanov, Nekrasov. The man who wrote the question is now reading a machine's answer. And in the same blog post, almost in passing: the Exponential Time Hypothesis in computer science is false, and the Kakeya conjecture is solved in every dimension. Three bombs in one post. Honest caveats, because they matter: This is not the full Millennium Prize. The Clay problem has two parts: existence and the "mass gap". OpenAI claims existence only. The physics materials aren't public yet. Gross's group chose to write it up themselves first. Lean verifies the logic, but experts still have to confirm the formal statement really captures what physicists mean. And it changes zero predictions. Physicists won't calculate anything differently tomorrow. It proves the ground under the cathedral is real. But the craziest part isn't the theorem. It's the scene. Nobel laureates are now acting as interpreters of what a machine discovered. OpenAI calls its proofs "raw research data" and refuses academic credit. For centuries, science worked one way: humans discover, then humans explain. We may have just entered the era where machines discover, and humans explain.

Anne Arundel County, Maryland, explicitly gives undocumented households priority for taxpayer-funded housing assistance covering rent, utility bills, security deposits and moving costs. The county’s published rules identify priority households as including: “those with undocumented or mixed immigration/citizenship status.” That language appears directly on the county government’s application page. Other priority categories include homelessness, eviction proceedings and disconnected utilities. The Community Schools Rental Assistance Program can pay for: • Overdue rent. • Electricity, gas, water and internet bills. • Security deposits and first month’s rent. • Moving expenses. • Certain late fees and eviction-related court fees. Maryland’s official FAQ says proof of citizenship is not required. Eligible households can receive repeat assistance, including up to three months of future rent or utilities at a time, with an overall maximum of 15 months. Governor Wes Moore’s office says the statewide program’s FY2027 budget increased from $5 million to $11 MILLION.

Claude Opus 5.5: "If these hold up, this is the biggest single day in the history of math and theoretical computer science." 1) Exponential Time Hypothesis is false (CS). This is roughly Turing Award territory. ETH was the working assumption that some hard problems simply can’t be solved much faster than brute force, and hundreds of computer science papers rest on it. For a normal audience: it’s not “P=NP.” Hard problems are still hard, and your bank encryption isn’t suddenly broken. But a pillar that a whole field assumed was solid turned out to be hollow. The flagship experts are taking it seriously. The people checking it include two of the people who proposed ETH, and they said “If the claim is correct, it will change” computer science. 2) Kakeya and restriction in all dimensions (math). This is Fields Medal-level. For scale, the 3D case alone was proved in 2025 and was hailed as a once-in-a-century proof. This result does every dimension and knocks out Stein’s restriction conjecture too. 3) Yang–Mills/QCD existence (physics). Potentially the biggest of the three, but here’s the precise framing. It proves pure Yang–Mills exists, which is part of one of the Clay Mathematics Institute’s Millennium Prize problems. The full Clay problem also requires the “mass gap,” so it’s not a clean “AI wins $1M” headline. Still, a rigorous proof that the theory of quarks and gluons is mathematically real has been an open dream for about 50 years. The review panel includes Nobel laureate David Gross and Arthur Jaffe, who literally wrote the Millennium problem. There’s no Nobel for math, but this is the stuff physicists win them for building on.

Elon Musk now literally holds the off switch on Anthropic's $2 trillion IPO. Anthropic's filing shows it has agreed to pay Elon's AI company up to $120.5 billion for computing power. And starting early next year, either side can walk away with 90 days' notice. The deal is with SpaceXAI, the SpaceX unit that used to be xAI, and it rents Anthropic the Nvidia chips that run Claude. In May, the price was $1.25 billion a month for one data center in Memphis. Reuters reported the confidential draft of this filing put the total at $84.5 billion. The public version filed today says $120.5 billion. Once all the capacity arrives in December, the bill jumps: Anthropic expects to pay Musk about $3.1 billion every month. Anthropic reportedly brought in $16.8 billion last quarter, which works out to about $5.6 billion a month. So more than HALF of what Anthropic earns today is about to go to one supplier. Now here's where it gets really insane: The lock-in on those contracts ends in January and March 2027. After that, either side can cancel with 90 days' notice. Fortune reported in July that the clause gives SpaceX a way to take its chips back if Grok suddenly needs more. Grok competes directly with Claude. And in February, Elon publicly called Anthropic's AI evil. So the company selling itself to the public as the safe AI lab is about to run a huge share of its product on hardware owned by its loudest critic. That critic also owns a direct competitor, and he can start the 90-day clock in early 2027. The filing does warn that some of Anthropic's compute suppliers build their own AI models, and that warning reads very differently once the supplier is Elon. And Elon needs this deal just as badly: SpaceX's CFO has promised $100 billion in annual revenue by the end of this year. At full speed, Anthropic's rent comes to about $9.3 billion a quarter. That's more than the roughly $7.6 billion SpaceX's entire AI business brought in last quarter. So 2 of the biggest IPOs in history are now holding each other up, and both of them have a 90-day exit. Anthropic has a real argument here. Computing power is the scarcest thing in AI right now, and Amazon's cloud capacity for 2027 is reportedly largely sold out. The filing even admits Anthropic badly underestimated how much compute it needed in the past. Grabbing every chip on the market is the rational move, and the same clause lets Anthropic leave if cheaper capacity shows up. But public buyers deserve 2 things before the listing: Anthropic should publish how much of Claude runs on SpaceX hardware and what happens to its customers if that notice ever arrives. And it should get the 90-day exit removed for the full length of the contract, the same way its other big compute bills are locked in. Until then, anyone buying ANT at $2 trillion has to answer one question for themselves: Who do they trust to keep Claude running in 2027, Anthropic or Elon Musk?

June 6, 1944. An American paratrooper jumps into Normandy in the dark and lands on the roof of a church. By the end of the war he had been declared dead, held a funeral he didn't attend, escaped the Nazis, and fought his way toward Berlin in a Soviet tank unit. His name was Joseph Beyrle. He's believed to be the only American soldier to serve in both the US Army and the Red Army during World War Two. Beyrle was from Muskegon, Michigan. He joined the 101st Airborne, the Screaming Eagles. His buddies called him Jumpin' Joe. On D-Day night his plane was hit by flak and he jumped early. He came down on a church roof, slid off, and lost his unit in the chaos. For a few days he fought on his own, blowing up a power station and cutting German communications. Then he was captured. Here's where it gets strange. A German soldier ended up wearing Beyrle's uniform and dog tags. That German was killed. When the body was found, the Americans identified it as Joseph Beyrle. The army told his parents their son was dead. His hometown held a funeral mass for him. His obituary ran in the local paper. Meanwhile, he was very much alive, being moved from one German prison camp to another. He escaped more than once. One time he and two other prisoners jumped off a train heading east. They thought they were heading for Russia and freedom. They got lost and ended up in Berlin, where they were caught by the Gestapo, beaten, and tortured. In January 1945, from a camp in eastern Germany, he finally made a clean escape. He went east, toward the gunfire. Toward the Soviets. When he found a Soviet tank unit, he walked out with his hands up, holding a pack of Lucky Strike cigarettes, and shouted the only Russian he knew. American comrade. It worked. He asked to join them. And they said yes. For about a month, an American paratrooper rode with Soviet tank crews as they pushed toward Germany. He used his demolition training. He fought. He was reportedly welcomed by a Soviet officer who was one of the rare women commanding a tank battalion. Then a German dive bomber attacked. Beyrle was badly wounded. He was evacuated to a Soviet hospital. Soviet Marshal Georgy Zhukov reportedly visited, heard his story, and gave him papers to get to the American embassy in Moscow. When he showed up, the embassy didn't believe him. As far as the US was concerned, Joseph Beyrle was dead. They held him under guard until his fingerprints proved who he was. He made it home to Michigan in April 1945. In 1946 he got married. In the same church where they'd held his funeral. Decades later, in 1994, he was honored at the White House by President Bill Clinton and Russian President Boris Yeltsin for serving both countries. And the last twist. His son, Joseph Beyrle II, grew up to become the United States Ambassador to Russia.
