He’s also complicit in all of this. He is kicking the can down the road. He cannot honestly believe he can turn this around. I was there on Sunday. The players are not playing for him. They do not believe in him as a manager or a coach. He looked like a rabbit in headlights.
Keeping Carrick because you believe in him is one thing. Keeping him there while actively looking for his replacement is another.
How can you expect him to lead the club while you're working behind his back to replace him? And then talk about respect, standards and doing things the right way?
A disgusting way to treat an iconic figure in United's history.
The hypocrisy is staggering. Gross incompetence from those running the club.
The worst thing for me is how Carrick with his inexperience thinks he can turn this around. He is incredibly naive if he thinks he can. His lack of experience is there for all to see. He’s learning on the job. This would never happen at any other Premier League club.
They have used Carrick as a shield- if you can’t see that then you’re as stupid as them. He is fully complicit in this so I have absolutely no sympathy for Carrick. This will end up with us deep in the relegation zone before these dickheads take action.

I really felt sorry for Michael Carrick today- he looks done. I blame these owners for putting another ex United legend with no premier league experience in charge of our club. It was bound to fail. Nothing will change until these owners, RATcliffe & @INEOS sell up.

A lot of credit has to go to Cesc and the way he has built this team & then you see the way he has got his ideas into this team.
Everyone knows their jobs and are dialled in in and out of possession.
They play to teammates under pressure - a great example of trust in one another.
But that is no excuse for us, we were poor on the night and look a team on zero confidence right now - so much to do to turn this around....and I haven't even got onto the injuries! 🤬
The difference in budgets certainly wasn’t reflected in the difference between the two teams on the pitch!

If you honestly care about @ManUtd , please step down with immediate effect.
If Michael Carrick isn’t sacked tonight he needs to step down. If he doesn’t he is done by this for his own selfish reasons.m and not for the good of @ManUtd
I thought on Sunday we had turned a corner- isn’t that what Carrick said?
Did I believe him? Did I fu+k. I knew exactly what was going to happen tonight. He sounds delusional in every interview.
My 8yr old just walked in and said. What’s the score dad? I said we are losing 2-0. He said” of course we are. How sad is that from this young generation.

If Michael Carrick has anything about him and he truly loves @ManUtd he will step down after this match. If he doesn’t I worry how much more damage he will do to the club.
