A mother and her three children were trapped inside their SUV as it caught fire.
The vehicle was still moving, and the mother was so overwhelmed she didn’t immediately realize what was happening.
An 18-year-old bystander, Justin Gavin saw the burning SUV pass him and ran after it, yelling for her to stop.
When it finally came to a halt, Justin pulled the mother out, then realized her three children, ages 9, 4 and 1, were still inside. The rear door was hot, the flames were growing, and the baby was still strapped into a car seat.
Justin had the oldest child help unbuckle the younger two while he pulled them out one by one.
Moments later, the entire SUV was engulfed in flames.
All four of them survived because an 18-year-old stranger chose to run toward the fire. These are the kinds of young people the internet should be talking about.
