Dear Elon @elonmusk You hv certainly stirred up plenty of reaction with ur posts. But this needs a response from me, as did ur “Electronic Voting machines can be hacked” post from some time ago. As someone who knows a little bit abt Telecom as someone who played a decent-ish role in building Indias wireless sector as an Entrepreneur and then as a policy maker , let me share my thoughts. It is true that Indias Telecom was a sector beset with opaqueness and corruption for several decades - where cronies ruled under the benevolent love and the politics of ur latest fan (name not withheld - @RahulGandhi ) But under PM @narendramodi , 3 principles govern the tech (including Telecom/Internet) sector. Open, Safe & Trusted and Accountable. #OSTA ✅ Open - Free from any monopoly-duopoly. Free and fair competition. ✅ #SafeAndTrusted - Infra, Network , Platforms must be safe and trusted. ✅ Accountable - Every participant should be legally accountable for safety and trust. I was a MP first and then part of PM @narendramodi jis team when this framework was developed. I have more than a little experience of fighting years of political and bureaucratic opaqueness and corruption, which shaped these principles. so todays India is not that old crony driven India. I am not in govt anymore and certainly dont speak for it. But it seems to me that Govt has made it clear: all three satcom licensees are at broadly the same stage of ensuring security clearance by verifying its safety and trust first, then spectrum. Satellite IP services have many security implications. More so in a country like India which has faced years of Terror and insurgency supported by inmical state actors in our neighbourhood. From 26/11 terror attacks to recent ones in Pahalgam, satcom has been preferred comm for Terrorists. Satellite VOIP and encryption creates more challenges security wise. Not insurmountable but new capabilities and capacity hv to be built to ensure Safety and Trust. I hv used @Starlink and I think its awesome technology - and represents a new era in mobility innovation. No doubt. But a country has to plan for itself and its interests before every new choice. Thats what India is doing. Patience is unavoidable and in this case is a necessity.
Starlink is licensed in over 165 countries and has spent five years complying with every single law and requirement of the government of India, so why still no license? Is Ambani the real boss of India?

Only 15 Indian security forces personnel killed in 2026 till date, in various militancy/terrorism related incidents. Thus 2026 has seen the lowest no. of security forces casualties in India in around 60+ years. Of the 15 fatalities; 05 were in NE, 4 in Naxal violence, & 04 in Punjab and only 02 in J&K.

My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery. Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster. He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals. I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery. He is a true hero.

For years, one of the most common questions we’ve received from customers has been: “How do I choose which mutual funds to invest in?” While millions of our customers are comfortable choosing and managing their own investments, many of you told us that you wanted guidance on not just how to choose but also how to manage your mutual funds - what to buy, what to hold, when to exit, and when to rebalance your portfolio. We heard you. So we invested in building an in-house research desk of market experts, supported by an AI engine that continuously evaluates fund performance, risk, and suitability. That’s how we built Groww Prime for mutual funds. Groww Prime provides mutual fund recommendations based on your risk profile, investment horizon, and financial goals. It’s completely optional and is meant for only those customers who need such recommendations. We first launched Groww Prime as a pilot in January 2026 with a small group of customers. The response was encouraging, and we’re now rolling it out to more customers. Please note that if you choose to activate Groww Prime, all your future mutual fund investments will be made through regular mutual funds instead of direct mutual funds. It’s not a decision you have to live with forever. If you ever change your mind, you can switch back to the classic direct mutual fund experience again. We have millions of customers who prefer to invest directly, without any intermediary. If you are one of those customers, your experience will not change in any way. You can continue to invest in direct mutual funds. Disclaimer: Mutual Fund investments are subject to market risks, read all scheme related documents carefully.

If the west thinks that it can order India to sit quiet after arming Pakistan through an IMF aid at a time when Indian civilians are under attack, then it must understand that the time of their control over India is over. This is New India. We care about the safety and security of our people more than anything else.
We, the G7 Foreign Ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States of America and the High Representative of the European Union, strongly condemn the egregious terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22 and urge maximum restraint from both India and Pakistan. Further military escalation poses a serious threat to regional stability. We are deeply concerned for the safety of civilians on both sides. We call for immediate de-escalation and encourage both countries to engage in direct dialogue towards a peaceful outcome. We continue to monitor events closely and express our support for a swift and lasting diplomatic resolution: G7 Foreign Ministers' statement on India and Pakistan

OPERATION SINDOOR Pakistan Armed Forces launched multiple attacks using drones and other munitions along entire Western Border on the intervening night of 08 and 09 May 2025. Pak troops also resorted to numerous cease fire violations (CFVs) along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. The drone attacks were effectively repulsed and befitting reply was given to the CFVs. #IndianArmy remains committed to safeguarding the sovereignity and territorial integrity of the Nation. All nefarious designs will be responded with force. #PahalgamTerrorAttack #IndianArmy #JusticeServed @DefenceMinIndia @SpokespersonMoD @HQ_IDS_India
