Avanzamos hacia el lanzamiento en España de servicios de conectividad satelital, fruto del acuerdo comercial alcanzado con Satellite Connect Europe.
Vodafone SAT está diseñado para reforzar la resiliencia de la red y extender la conectividad a zonas de difícil acceso y situaciones excepcionales, permitiendo que un smartphone convencional se conecte directamente a satélites cuando no exista cobertura terrestre.
En las próximas semanas comenzaremos a convertir esta tecnología en aplicaciones reales junto a empresas, administraciones públicas y sectores estratégicos, desde emergencias y seguridad hasta agricultura, transporte, defensa, industria, entornos marítimos y zonas rurales.
El servicio podría estar disponible comercialmente en 2027, sujeto a la evolución del marco regulatorio y a la disponibilidad del espectro necesario.

Stuttgart & Umgebung dreht so langsam auch auf @vodafone_de Wurde auch mal Zeit. Konnte an mehreren Sites heute endlich das Gigabit knacken. Ist wohl ne Mischung aus Anbindungslimit und Softwareseitigem Limit bisher gewesen.
