Make no mistake, the decisions of the last two days - guns & abortion - are not a function of legal, constitutional interpretation. They are solely the result of a change in Court personnel. This makes the Court a more obvious political institution, not one removed from politics

We can't see most of the Loan Agreement from what he showed, but doesn't look nefarious at all to me. Looks like a cash revolver and a term BTC loan w common terms... Big snooze 😴

Guys, We're being a little premature on this Drake album. It's 2022, I need a little more More Life.
Bill Kristol is saying this. About Dick Cheney's daughter, Who is accusing a Republican President. And he's right. C'mon man, you know Trump is a crook.
Let me just say, before the hearing begins: All honor to Liz Cheney, a genuine profile in courage.

Wait. They want us to focus on the school door being unlocked? So let me get this straight: They say it should have been much harder to enter the building, but won’t make it harder to buy the AR-15 he used to kill 19 kids and two teachers? Do you hear how insane that sounds?!

This gotta be the wildest thing I've ever seen. You lost money on that probable security? Never fear, just buy this new security. UST holders going double or nothing. Lol
What does the community feel about a massive decentralized legal fund war chest (raised by issuing governance tokens) to help UST victims seek restitution against TFL via a class action filed in Singapore? Token holders vote on major decisions and are rewarded if the case wins.
80%Yes, this is a great idea
20%No, I don't like it

UST "senior debt holders" got: 1. No promissory notes. 2. No paper at all (not even an "IOU") 3. A claim to be paid in diff currency than that issued or redeemable.. Phew. Down here at the Guilford Cty. Bar, we'd call that "a mess." 🤣

In a later post we will discuss- -Could LFG have avoided the death spiral after the depeg?

-Where does Luna go from here? In the meantime feel free to RT this thread, only collective lessons learnt will allow us to move the space forward. nitter.gq/gametheorizing/status/…
1/ "𝘈 𝘛𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘌𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘛𝘩𝘦 Luna" 🌖 What game was Terra trying to play? Where did the deadly asset-liability mismatch really come from? (Hint: Not Anchor)

Was $LUNA simply destined to fail? Mega-🧵..

Not at all in favor of this potential class action, but for my #LUNAtics, here they come. Seen in FB
One of my boys is in PE, called me about making an investment into his fund. Terms: 20%/pa in exchange for 2/20 and a 5 year lockup. Min $100K. Meanwhile Anchor: 20%pa no lock, any amount. I'll be damned if $UST holders should be treated like widows and orphans.
Lost a little on the $UST de-peg but do think I gained a little insight. Crypto has a future, but not the one it wants. If it's true that all of this was caused by a short, it won't be the last one. Which means crypto needs a professional class, or it will be devoured by one.

I'm biased as a $Luna holder, but I feel like this whole situation needs perspective. A 30 year old grew a DeFi community from $0 to worth north of $18bn. Started 4 years ago. That's an insane level of success. That Luna hit a wall was inevitable. Key is how they pivot now.

This peg issue is a short term problem to me for $UST. The real issue is sustaining demand for the stable. The peg mechanism isn't all that novel: it's functionally convertible debt. The real issue remains: what do you do with $UST when you have it?

Overcollateralization is understandable bc crypto is sheisty as hell. But we've solved for that problem already in the TradFi space. We have UCC Art. 9, we have common law security interests, we have enforceable loan covenants.

I think the next innovation in DeFi is to bring some of those protections into the virtual realm. What Terra needs, I think, is borrowers. But to expand the supply of UST that can be safely loaned out, DeFi needs to get past overcollateralization.
