Sometimes I forget not everyone is terminally online. Chatter came in not asking if we knew what a groyper was, this lucky individual had never even heard of Nick Fuentes or Charlie Kirk, lol.

every single media outlet has just become a right wing consent manufactoring machine
A tighter-than-expected re-election leaves the mayor facing questions about passive leadership, thin plans and an unclear second-term agenda. thestar.com/news/gta/olivia-…

The Toronto Star and other news outlets are trying to downplay how well Olivia Chow performed in last night’s mayoral election solely because she was the more progressive candidate compared to Brad Bradford. You aren’t slick. We know what y’all are trying to do here.

Shoutout to Diana Chan McNally for overcoming all the bullshit. first renter to be elected to city councillor, has been THE frontline worker for Toronto's homeless population.
The city is better for it with her in council.

Exhausted from seeing creators having to explain why deepfakes made without their consent make them uncomfortable.
Say it with me, class:
Lack. Of. Autonomy.
hi everyone, i want to clarify some things about what i said on stream yesterday.
1) when he was first caught looking at paywalled, deepfake content of female streamers, it seems people forgot that the specific page shown on his stream was of me.
i didn't say much at the time because i was so uncomfortable, publicly humiliated, and i didn't think it needed explaining because it was so obviously wrong.
2) i appreciate that he spent thousands of dollars helping remove ai/df content (3000$ of which was offered to me specifically), but i've had to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars towards that same effort. regardless, no amount of money undoes what happened.
3) i'm not trying to cancel anyone or be the arbiter of who can do what. i'm simply sharing my feelings about something that publicly happened to me, and the ways in which it's affecting me today.
as he's become more involved in events and with people close to me, i've grown particularly uncomfortable. as far as i know, no one has really checked in with the women affected about how it makes them feel. other people forgiving him is their choice, but it doesn't mean i can't share my perspective on it as well.
one thing i've seen happen far too often is the rewriting of history, particularly as it pertains to issues like these, so i prefer to stand my ground so the narrative doesn't get twisted. hope this clarifies things!

"If more people do not have solidarity with members of marginalized groups, that they may not be the ones directly experiencing the brunt of it, but without that collectiveness then no, things will not change" *cough* MEN.

Just goes to show, people vote, money doesn't. The worst people in the city tried to astroturf Bradford, the conservative captured media tried to convince people it was over and he was a sure thing, but people turned out and rejected him wholesale.

I love how some men will insist women aren’t marginalized while we’re STILL being blamed for everything men do. Take for example:
Ethan Klein cheats on his wife with a superfan he hired, yet somehow the alleged mistress gets the blame? Not the married man with a wife and kids? Not the person who actually made the vows? Not the one benefitting from the power imbalance?
Pokimane speaks out about feeling violated after Atrioc was caught looking at sexual deepfakes of her and other female streamers, and SHE gets accused of starting a hate campaign? As if she owes the man who violated her boundaries forgiveness, and withholding it somehow makes HER the villain???
Jane Doe goes to a frat party, as college students do, and gets sexually assaulted. Suddenly, the conversation becomes about HER “poor decisions” and how holding the perpetrators accountable might ruin the perpetrators’ futures. Not the assault. Not the men who committed it. HER choices.
This is patriarchy. This is what it looks like.
Men are given endless grace, excuses, and the benefit of the doubt, while women are expected to carry the blame, manage the fallout, and protect the feelings and futures of the very men who harmed them.
And if women refuse to play along? Then we’re accused of being vindictive, unreasonable, or hysterical. Right…
Rape culture doesn’t exist in a vacuum. It’s reinforced by the everyday misogyny that teaches us to empathize with the men who cause harm while scrutinizing the women who experienced it.
If your first instinct is to protect a man’s reputation instead of questioning his behavior, you’re not being fair or objective. You’re reinforcing the exact culture that allows this shit to continue. Do better.

Haley Steven’s: DONT UNFAIRLY DEMONIZE ISRAEL
Israelis:
This type of fearmongering about Israel is wrong. It is not a winning strategy for any state. It does nothing to help Michigan Democrats win up and down the ballot in eight days. Do we need to lower costs by building more homes, securing people’s health care, and creating a fairer federal tax code? Yes, we do!! How we do so is not by blaming the high costs of our goods on the only Jewish homeland in the world. I want to see Democrats succeed at every level, and that means keeping our focus on lowering costs for Michigan families and reining in this out-of-control President.
