Walking to BART today on my way in to @957thegame in my Valkyries gear and got about five, “Go Valks!” from other people in my neighborhood.
Close this out tonight, @valkyries! The Bay is ready!

Steph's incredible. This past summer, he saw a video of this kid from Minnesota making a long 3-pointer in a game in his school gym. The crowd went crazy and Wyatt, wearing a Curry jersey, did the night-night celebration! Steph sent him a video and invited him to tonight's game!
Yaxel Lendeborg has 113 points, 45 rebounds, and 20 assists through his first 5 career games, becoming just the 6th rookie in NBA history with at least 100 points, 40 rebounds, and 20 assists in their first 5 career NBA games. The last to do it? Sidney Wicks 55 YEARS AGO!
The first five games of Yaxel Lendeborg’s NBA career:
- 12p/3r/2a, 1 steal
- 18p/13r/6a, 3 steals
- 26p/9r/5a, 1 block
- 31p/12r/6a, 1 block
- 26p/8r/1a, 1 steal, 1 block
Steph Curry and Yaxel Lendeborg combined tonight in a 119-114 Warriors win in Minnesota:
70 points (22-47 FG, 8-21 3PT, 18-20 FT), 16 rebounds, 7 assists.
Not bad!
Just another really nice win for the Warriors. Scary late, but a quality win. No Anthony Edwards, I know, but it’s still not easy to beat this Timberwolves team on the road. After an 0-3 start, 2-3 feels awfully good with the wins coming in Denver and Minnesota.
Steph Curry has 40 points tonight, the 15th time he’s scored 40+ in a game after turning 35 years old. That’s tied with LeBron James for the most such games in NBA history. Michael Jordan is 3rd with 12, Kevin Durant 4th with 9.
Really important final three minutes of the third quarter for the Warriors.
Is this gonna be a 10ish point game or a 20ish point game to start the fourth?
Just another excellent half of basketball by Yaxel Lendeborg. The guy is just simply already a really good basketball player and only going to get better. The sky is the limit.
I love the way Yaxel Lendeborg gets downhill in a hurry. Kuminga picking him up at half court, so the Warriors bring the screen all the way out there and by the time the T-Wolves’ help gets to Yaxel, he’s already sprinting full speed right at you. And good luck stopping him then.
You see how easy it is for Yaxel Lendeborg to create his own shot?
Trey Lyles is right on him at the 3-point line and Yaxel hits him with a simple jab step. Because he’s such an effective driver, Lyles has to react to it. Yaxel then uses that space to get a 3 off, and make it.
