Did you know Frutiger Aero actually has a Swiss connection? 🇨🇭 The “Frutiger” part of the name references Adrian Frutiger, a Swiss type designer born in 1928, best known for creating influential typefaces such as Univers and Frutiger. The “Aero” part comes from Microsoft's Windows Aero visual design language, introduced with Windows Vista in 2006 and continued in Windows 7.
So, a Swiss designer's legacy became part of the name of an entire aesthetic that came to represent technological optimism, nature-inspired design and the future we imagined back then. Blue oceans, lush green landscapes, crystal-clear water and futuristic technology. A little Swiss connection to the future we were promised. 🌬️🧊🩵
