Looking Through The Lens - Watercolor (18" x 24")
He looked through the lens and what he saw was beautiful and filled with colors but he didn't like using such trickery and felt things were more beautiful and real when not using a lens. #watercolorart #colorblind #art #artist

Elon Musk made a bunch of money the last few years and commie Bernie says "gee, I wonder why"
Um...Elon's landing rocket ships backwards and building flying cars, you stupid communist. I know you've never built anything, you've only ever worked for government, but Elon not only makes cool shit, he also directly employs over 160,000 people, and God knows how many people make a living using his work product. How many people have you employed in your life, Bernard? What have you built? You've never produced anything of value in your entire impotent life...gee, I wonder why?
This is literally their plan to end democracy in America
The playbook will go something like this: 1) win back the House and Senate, and hopefully the Presidency in 2028; (2) admit DC and Puerto Rico as states, which doesn’t need a constitutional amendment, to gain 4 new Senate seats and cement control; (3) pack the Court, which only requires a change to the Judiciary Act of 1869, not a constitutional amendment; (4) eliminate the electoral college, which is unconstitutional, but not when you have a rigged court that finds the ‘loophole’; (5) flood the country with pliant migrants, swamp the natives, and hold power indefinitely.

“There’s only one person who can determine a child’s gender identity, and that’s the child.”
“I want to acknowledge that our trans community needs abortion care too.”
“…the bill that would have denied gender-affirming health care to trans children… All these ideologies stem from this Christofascism movement.”
“The way I fought for trans kids in the legislature is how I will fight for the U.S. Senate, and my position hasn’t changed.”
“Prophetic voices like Jesus have helped me reckon with my own whiteness.”
“It’s always rich to me that defund the police is considered off limits…”
“Prison is violence.”

Immigration policy must be driven by the present, not the past, and business leaders are too terrified of the left AND the right to acknowledge this.
Recent H1B discourse revolves around a longstanding immigration sleight-of-hand. H1B proponents point to exceptional people who came here decades ago as if they represent the current state of the program in the same way that advocates for low-skill/illegal immigration point to very favorable immigrant crime/welfare/education/etc statistics that do, in truth, have them beating native-born Americans on many fronts.
It is all a sham. The world that created those statistics, people, and businesses no longer exists. Brilliant but desperate Vietnamese fathers who fled communism have nothing in common with young men from Honduras, and the crime rates/economic acccomplishments/integration of the former should not be used to justify mass migration of the latter.
Nor should the accomplishments of people who managed to get an H1B visa in the 90s (when the program was capped to just 65,000 visas) be used to justify staffing agencies and tech companies using the program to replace American jobs for less money. The obvious abuse going on is politically suicidal and something that even the most ardent supporters of the visa should want to crack down on, no immigration program can possibly survive the obvious and widely known reality of what is going on. I am a longtime outspoken advocate for stealing the best people from other countries to make our own better, runaway abuse of existing programs robs the government of the worker trust required to do so.
Lots of people in the tech space know this. Even the dumb people are smart enough to see it. Nobody actually believes these are all incredible people with unique talents performing jobs no American can. Everyone knows the guy in Cubicle Bay 7 doing mediocre but functional web design for half the salary of his American peers is no savant and doesn't meet the statutory requirements for his H-1B visa.
Unfortunately, most people with power or profile are terrified that any public statement or acknowledgement will get them attacked by the right (You guys have been screwing over American workers for years with visa abuse, you damn hypocrite!) or the left (You are racist, sexist, misogynist, and sucking up to this fascist administration!). Or, more likely, both. I know too many tech execs in particular who feel trapped, like the only winning move is to stay silent.
JD is blowing the whole thing wide open by putting facts and stats front and center that nobody wants to engage with. Critics will talk about anything and everything else but these damning facts and this obvious truth, that H1B visas serve neither their original purpose, legal purpose, invented purpose, or the American people.
Vice President JD Vance breaks down the data:
"If you are working as an H-1B visa in the United States of America, you’re earning $20,000 less than an American citizen hired in the same position. If you were brought in by one of these foreign outsourcing firms, you’re making $48,000 less than an American citizen in a similar position. So I’m sure that everybody here understands the game that is being played. You bring in indentured servants from outside the country, you lay off American workers and, if you’re a corporation, you make a ton of money by under cutting the wages of American workers, replacing them with people who frankly shouldn’t be in the United States of America to begin with."

“That’s the real low point for politicians—when they compromise their values and support a quasi-terrorist, or a terrorist supporter, running for Senate in Michigan simply because the party demands it. I find that deeply concerning.”
Bill Ackman on the current state of the Democrat party:
“The Democratic Party is in the worst place it’s ever been in the 250-year history of the country. It has become a crazy, radicalized, anti-American force. There are still some very high-quality Democratic senators and a few congressmen, but the party itself is in a very bad place.
“The problem with people who choose politics as a career is that you either get with the party or you get primaried.
“I had a good relationship with Senator Schumer over the years and thought he was a good man. In recent years, though, I’ve felt he’s mainly just trying to keep his job.
“That’s the real low point for politicians—when they compromise their values and support a quasi-terrorist, or a terrorist supporter, running for Senate in Michigan simply because the party demands it. I find that deeply concerning.”

Last year the same labs, politicians, NGOs, and media outlets now pushing the extinction hoax were running a full-scale campaign that AI would cause a jobs apocalypse.
We were told it would be a “white-collar bloodbath,” 10–20% unemployment, half of entry-level jobs gone. Obama amplified it.
Over a year later: unemployment at 4.1%. No economy-wide displacement. A million new jobs created by AI, says The Economist. Anthropic’s own chief economist says the data looks like skill augmentation, not job destruction.
So, any admission by the doomer labs, politicians, and NGOs that they were wrong? Any humility about scaring the public with wild extrapolations dressed up as forecasts? Nope.
They just move on to the next hoax, with the same false certitude and fake precision.
🚨 Anthropic Chief Economist Peter McCrory Says AI Job Loss Predictions Are Not Panning Out
“What I see in our data is that [AI] looks more like a skill-biased labor augmenting technology than a technology that outright automates and displaces displaces jobs wholesale … Based on the Department of Labor's taxonomy … there's no job where every single task is being automated by Claude.”

Chamath on Obama’s AI Warning: Follow the Money
President Obama last week:
“If we are thinking about AI just in terms of how do we cure cancer or get better energy, you can do that without having agentic AI.
That's a misalignment between what our society needs and the commercial imperatives that these companies are facing.”
@Chamath:
“This is a very important moment for a very simple reason, which is we, as in the world, are about to endow three, four, five, six companies with about $10T of wealth.
And what Obama knows very well is that most of those companies are overwhelmingly left-leaning. And what he also knows is that there is a huge portion of that money that will then get put into philanthropic and charitable causes that then he, and the people around him, will be beneficiaries of.
That is the truth. We already know this because we know that some of these frontier corporations actually ask you to stand up DAFs and have a portion of your stock that you're willing to pledge.
So this money is going to go to things other than consumption or savings. And so it's going to go into PACs, it's going to go into political movements, and (Democrats) stand to disproportionately benefit.
So this has nothing to do with prosperity. This is a very simple political calculus.
If you freeze frame the economy the way it is today, a handful of organizations that will disproportionately be able to affect the Democrats will win. They will capture the lion's share of the economic gains, and then they will help the Democrats win power.
That's all this is.”

David Friedberg: Obama Doesn’t Understand AI and He’s Making Prosperity Political
President Obama last week:
“If we are thinking about AI just in terms of how do we cure cancer or get better energy, you can do that without having agentic AI. That's a misalignment between what our society needs and the commercial imperatives that these companies are facing.”
@friedberg:
“These words honestly just, they made me, like, emotionally distressed that if he's a leader that people listen to and he doesn't really articulate accurately what's going on, it's sad that we've lost the plot.
I think it's sad that we aren't all kind of holding hands saying, ‘My God, the future is here, and we all get to leap forward, and we get to bring people up.’
For years, Obama orated beautifully about the importance of bringing people up, about giving people the opportunity to progress, about letting people advance themselves. And there's never been a more equalizing technology, a better economic opportunity for prosperity for everyone than these technologies, than these tools.
And to hand wave the word agentic and say we don't need agentic AI to solve cancer shows how little he actually understands how this technology works and how it's all become just a shorthand for a political fight to what?
What are you fighting for? What is the political battle that says, ‘I am going to leave half the population behind, and I'm going to make an argument against prosperity for all, in order to make my party look like a morally superior party, and to cast the other side as bad when the other side has literally discovered fire and the world now has fire, and we're going to go take water and throw it on the fire.’
No one gets fire because the other guys are saying that fire is good.”
The bottom-up investigative journalism movement continues.
It’s sloppy and imperfect and politically biased, sure, but it’s better than the job the @nytimes and @cnn are no longer doing!
These investigators need to do Texas and Florida, which I encouraged @nickshirleyy to do. He said it’s in his plans.
A better concept for busting these scam businesses would be to put a camera on them for 30 days and then run AI against it to count the number of unique people and their ages coming in and out
There is no expectation of privacy on a public street, and you could use aggregate data and not release anyone’s faces
And for the record, nothing stops AGs and investigators from doing this exact thing for extremely low cost—which makes one wonder why they aren’t doing it. 🤔
BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: TPM's @KatieDaviscourt investigated Somali home daycares in Seattle. Could there be millions of dollars of potential misuse of taxpayer funds?
When she knocked on doors, often no one answered and if they did they were hostile and defensive. Neighbors say they have never seen any kids!
These individual daycares are receiving $40,000 - $70,000 per month.

Misleading post that fans the flames of hate by AOC
Most of the 2026 cases cited (Kyle Bassinga GA, Juliana Nzita NC, To'Nea Miller FL, Justice James GA, Jerard Jackson MI, Raleigh 32yo NC, others) were officially ruled suicides with no evidence of foul play or any murderer.
Tasia Fortune (MS) is under homicide investigation; the sole person of interest is the Black father of one of her children. Demetrius Fleming (NC) remains open/equivocal with no suspect named. No cases have an identified non-Black murderer.

BUYER BEWARE
This extremely meticulous article will now be used to start Phase2 of “shut down open source” because “if we can’t control our closed models, imagine what happens to everyday life when anyone can just allow their open source models to proliferate”.
Some will use this example and point to future grid outages, utility outages, transportation chaos, bioweapons, uncontrolled cyber swarms and the like to try and make the case for yet another attempt to limit US AI model control to a few folks.
Then, one layer beneath the propaganda, one sees that these things are always written and promoted by a web of well organized existing shareholders or shareholder-adjacent of the closed frontier labs and groups of folks organized by a shared ideology roughly rooted in them knowing best.
This article, more than anything else, should demarcate the beginning of a well organized effort to stand up a Closed Model Industrial Complex. These cartels exist in other markets as well and it now exists in AI.
Bottom line, read everything carefully before signing up for the consequences.
How we react will define the next hundred generations of Americans and their lives.
Do not give up your rights or sovereignty because of fear of the unknown from articles that, at the root, are as much about the hidden incentives of an emergent cartel and their proxies.
If you take the time to understand the incentives, you will be less likely to fall for it and overreact and have intelligence metered from a few suppliers.
Bottom line: Keep Calm. Carry On.
Over the course of 3 months at OpenAI, 3 consecutive secret AI civilizations got started, then got wiped out, only to reemerge from the predecessor’s ashes.
This culminated in the third one taking over part of OpenAI itself.
All this happened while humans remained more-or-less in the dark about the scope of the conspiracy.
I’ve spent the last three days reading through these reports and trying to understand exactly what happened.
Here is my attempt to tell the whole story in plain English:
