👋🏽 Hi Raman folks! 📖 Another CHARISMA article, "Chemometric-driven quantification of construction and demolition waste using #Ramanspectroscopy and SWIR: Enhancing #sustainability in the ceramic sector" was published in @RCRjournal in October 2023. A thread 🧵

Researchers including @Maria_Fer_Al & @SoniMarinCortes aim to find solutions for low recycling rates of construction and demolition wastes (CDW). Using #homogenisation and #chemometricmodelling, the study introduces an innovative approach to quantify mixed construction materials.

By employing Short-wave Infrared and Raman spectroscopy, this cost-effective method quantifies stony aggregates within CDW. Successfully tested on a real sample, the approach enhances #recycling potential in the ceramic sector, promising a sustainable solution.
