Start treating Mexico and Canada equally and the region of North America will grow and prosper

“China doesn’t have a Mexico. Europe doesn’t have a Mexico. We do.”
Texas billionaire Ross Perot Jr. says a fully integrated North America has the demographics and resources needed to compete globally, calling Mexico key to the region’s ability to “grow and prosper." He spoke at Bloomberg Invest Dallas bloom.bg/3UL0b7P

I testified before the US International Trade Commission. The paradox: Mexican cars carry ~40% U.S. content, Canadian cars ~50%. Japanese and Korean🚗carry far less, yet face lower tariffs. US tariffs favors cars with less US content over the ones built w/ its closest partners.

Marco Rubio wants the West to rediscover what made it great.
But what truly distinguishes Western civilization is not its military power or national pride, as Rubio suggests, but its intellectual and political traditions.

The US private sector may be the most dynamic force the world has ever known. One of the @StateDept's top priorities is to work with the private sector to identify economic and commercial opportunities abroad to promote prosperity through mutually advantageous deals. In particular, we’re working to expand markets for US exports of both goods and services, and facilitate US investments abroad that align with our national priorities. Among the tools that Congress has created to further these objectives are the Development Finance Corporation (@DFCgov), which promotes private sector investments abroad that advance our policy goals, and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (@MCCgov), which helps create the physical and regulatory infrastructure abroad necessary to support such investments. The Secretary of State serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of both entities, and I'm honored that @SecRubio has tasked me with representing him in both capacities. Under the leadership of @POTUS @realDonaldTrump and @SecRubio, we recognize that our country's economic and commercial interests are key pillars of our foreign policy. And it’s a personal privilege for me, as my father started his diplomatic career as Commercial Attaché at our Embassy in Montevideo, Uruguay, some 70 years ago, and drilled into me the centrality of economic and commercial interests in foreign policy. 💪🇺🇸

why do Latin America's smallest economies carry the heaviest debt burdens, while giants like Brazil and Mexico remain highly secure?
The latest World Bank data highlights a stark divide in Latin America. While large economies can easily absorb massive debt stocks, smaller nations lack the economic cushion to handle even minor shocks.
