The 2 party play book:
1) Accuse political threat of sex scandals, tick, it didn't stick.
2) Open investigation, announce it just before an election for maximin impact. Tick
3) Get some jail time for some frivolous charge (tick, did that with PH)
This time, it's going to backfire. People are sick of the corruption in Victoria.
The man who could decide who governs Victoria is under police investigation over historical abuse allegations made by his ex-partner of 18 years. Latest: bit.ly/3VXkqzx
I don't know how long this has been around, I only found out yesterday.
BRS has started an online shop Epic1TWO.
I like supporting a good cause so just purchased a couple of shirts this morning.

Another speech this morning from the Treasurer which fails to take responsibility for the fact productivity has gone backwards in every quarter on his watch. That’s what happens when there’s no plan to turn the economy around. More finger-pointing & spin won’t cut it. #auspol
Jeez, looks like panic stations for ALP, Libs and Nationals.

Compliant Media?
Since 2022 Albo has spent $695 million on taxpayer funded media advertising, more than $100 million in media grants, and over $6,000 million on their ABC and SBS.
States have added during the same period $1,000m - $1,300m in taxpayer media advertising as well.
Being taxpayer funded is very lucrative.
The Hastie effect.
Privileged politicians complaining about hurty words while u and I have to live with cost of living crisis. Not such a winning strategy.

Hastie’s problems predate Secret Harbour.
I live in Canning, have known Andrew for more than a decade, and am well connected across the local community. The polls were already telling the story, and they broadly reflect what I’ve been observing on the ground. Secret Harbour didn’t create the problem; it confirmed it.
He is even losing the support of Liberal Party stalwarts locally, which should be setting off alarm bells.
Andrew is fighting for his political career. That context matters when you look at the increasingly personal attacks and poor tactical decisions.
The same applies to Jacqui Lambie. Her increasingly unhinged personal attacks on Pauline Hanson make more sense when viewed through the same lens: she too knows One Nation is threatening her political survival.
When politicians are backed into an electoral corner, they fight.
The problem for Andrew is that every new move seems to be making his position worse, not better. He appears to have recognised the hole, but not yet the shovel in his hands.
OMG! At laaaast! I've had an absolute gut full of Labor and Liber mass immigration.
We have had a negative domestic birth rate for over 20 years. It's only immigration that has stressed our country to breaking point.
I know Australians are doing it tough. Families are competing with hundreds of people for rental accommodation. Patients are stuck in ambulances because there are not enough hospital beds. Young Australians are being locked out of home ownership while wages and infrastructure fail to keep up, Senator Hanson said.
The Labor-Liberal political cartel has sacrificed Australian living standards to serve vested interests demanding continued mass migration. Under Labor, the number of temporary visa holders has surged from 2 million in 2022 to roughly 3 million in 2026.
A larger economy on paper means nothing if Australians are poorer per person and cannot afford a home, find a hospital bed or get ahead. A larger economic pie doesn’t mean anything if individual Australians’ slice of it is getting smaller.
One Nation’s plan will return the temporary migrant population to around 2017 levels and the international student population to 2015 levels. Over the three years net overseas migration will be net-negative. Following this, One Nation’s net overseas migration ceiling of 130,000 per year would remain in place.
We will crack down on illegal migrant employment, cutting off illicit income and encouraging departures. Illegal migrants will be given three-months to leave Australia. Those who depart will be allowed to apply for a visa in the future. Those who remain unlawfully after this period will be subject to immigration enforcement and a lifetime ban from re-entering Australia.
Tinkering around the edges will not fix the damage. This is about giving Australians breathing space by drastically cutting the stock of temporary migrants, restoring control and making sure migration serves Australia
Vested interests and elite economists will shriek at the prospect of these cuts. But Canada has shown you can cut migrant numbers, take pressure off rents and still grow the economy.
Universities will still be able to enrol more than 100,000 international students per year. Universities that provide accommodation for their international students will get priority for these places. Our new high-value postgraduate study visa will also help attract the world’s brightest minds in science, engineering and medical research, giving Australia the talent we need to compete and returning universities to their proper role as research institutions rather than visa factories.
The temporary skilled migration program will remain available and be driven by employer demand. One Nation will maintain the existing seasonal worker programs, such as PALM and the working holiday maker program. Employers will still be able to sponsor skilled migrants, but temporary skilled migration will no longer operate as a sham family migration pathway.
One Nation’s previously announced policy to pause new migration from countries the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade rates ‘do not travel’ because of terrorism or other extreme security risks will continue to apply. The use of taxpayer-funded legal aid for visa appeals will also stop.
We will take back control of who comes here and how many we accept, train more Australians, restore living standards and put the safety and security of Australians first.

I suspect Only Fans is really the main thing powering the Gold Coast economy and housing market today

Roger Cook is blaming “bots and trolls” for ON win in Secrete Harbour. Dude I’m not a bot, but yeah I might do a little trolling! Haha put Australia first!
We have public servants earning millions, retiring on indexed pensions. Unions ripping off $15B in Vic then rewarded by Labor with mandates for all public works to have union involvement. When the guy doing the work gets less than all the government required payments for the work that he does. This is modern Australia.
Holy shit! Kids 7 now with high blood pressure. Our society can’t keep going down the path we have been, endless jabs and poison foods.
