After World War II, and for many years after, Democrats and Republicans had a shared vision as to what America was/is: a sacred land, blessed by God, defending liberty and freedom, a shining city on a hill, all thanks to that miraculous document, the Constitution of the United States. We shared that vision. We only differed in how to achieve it. This was fully true into about the 1990s. No more. While Republicans have often lost their way, their desired end state remained that same vision of national excellence and freedom. The Democrats threw that vision away. They have welcomed into their ranks with open arms communists and jihadists. Their vision is one where America has always been intrinsically evil. They see the only way to fix this to be tearing down and throwing away America and the Constitution in favor of a "refounding" into a European-style morass of evil, globalist, unelected bureaucrats ruling as oligarchs, where national history is destroyed in favor of late-stage communist tyranny spiced up with pockets of jihad waiting to unleash a holy war. Vote red like your life depends upon it, because it does.

Today was absolutely ridiculous on the internet, although what I witnessed was far more disturbing than funny. We are living in some of the most irrational times imaginable. Watching so many women insist that other women should fall in line, remain silent, and never question or challenge the Muslim Brotherhood is astonishing. Imagine having the freedom to speak, think, and challenge authority, only to use that freedom to shame other women for exercising those very rights. History has shown us repeatedly how societies lose their freedoms. It rarely happens overnight. It happens when people stop asking questions, excuse dangerous ideologies, abandon critical thinking, and convince themselves that confronting uncomfortable truths is somehow more dangerous than the threats themselves. We have become a society that teaches too little history, demands too little intellectual honesty, and mistakes ideological conformity for moral virtue. The tragedy is that we have centuries of history to learn from, yet so many seem determined to repeat its worst lessons. Great societies do not survive by teaching people what to think and whom to OBEY. They survive by teaching people how to think, how to question, and why their freedoms are worth defending.

My Halloween post about excessive candy consumption triggered a lot of people. Good. Now let’s talk about something worth getting angry about. In America: • 61.9% of children’s daily calories come from ultra-processed foods. • 21.1% of children and adolescents have obesity. More than 1 in 5. • 7% have SEVERE obesity. • One study estimated that 16–21% of adolescents have fatty liver disease. And people are outraged because I suggested that letting children stuff their faces with unlimited candy isn’t cute? I stand by every word. I never said children should never have candy, ice cream, or treats. I specifically criticized EXCESSIVE consumption. But here’s what so many people missed. Halloween is simply an exaggerated version of how millions of American children eat EVERY SINGLE DAY. We’re watching children develop metabolic diseases that used to be associated primarily with middle-aged adults. And somehow, suggesting that parents should limit candy consumption makes ME the unreasonable one? Children don’t buy the groceries. They don’t stock the pantry. They don’t decide what gets served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Adults do. Children learn by watching us. When parents normalize poor eating habits, it’s hardly surprising that their children adopt them. One day of excessive candy consumption isn’t responsible for this epidemic. The problem is that for millions of children, Halloween isn’t much different from the other 364 days of the year. My daughter will absolutely enjoy candy, ice cream, and other treats as she grows up. But treats will be treats. They won’t be the foundation of her diet. So spare me the fake outrage. We have an entire generation of children growing up with obesity, insulin resistance, and fatty liver disease. If you’re more offended by a doctor criticizing excessive sugar consumption than by those statistics, perhaps you’re angry at the wrong thing. Our children deserve better. And adults need to start taking responsibility.

Moved to Texas because of what California became? Welcome. Glad you're here. Now don't vote for the same thing that ran you out. Texas isn't where a Marxist gets a second chance.

No one gives a tinker's damn what the @USCCB, ie, a pack of perverted criminals, has to say about politics. @USCCB your job is the salvation of souls and not the midterms.

Threatening half a country with prison, ruin, or worse and expecting electoral obedience is a fascinating strategy in a nation founded by men who answered tyranny with rebellion. America’s oldest political instinct isn’t submission. It is defiance. May the most intolerant side win.

In 2021, Texas passed a law barring the biggest social media platforms from censoring Texans for their viewpoint. Jon Rosenthal voted NO. James Talarico voted NO. If you've ever been suspended or throttled for an opinion, remember who stood with Big Tech. Tuesday.

This is all you need to know about the calibre of the pseudo-Leonine pontificate Pope Leo is more than happy to be photographed with the homoheretic Cardinal Fernandez. Fernandez has written the most scandalous documents in the history of the Church Amoris Laetitia and its acceptance of adulterous second 'marriages' Fiducia Supplicans and its acceptance of adultery, fornication and sodomy The fact that Pope Leo has kept such a scandalous heretic as the prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith speaks volumes about Pope Leo

We have reached the phase of the election cycle where every single poll coming out shows the Dems winning by massive margin, even in red states like Texas. We must ignore all noise. These “polls” are designed to psychologically demoralize Trump voters right before Election Day, in the hopes that this will convince us to not bother showing up to vote. It’s designed to weaken MAGA voter turnout. All of the polls are lies. The polls do not reflect public opinion, they are designed to SHAPE public opinion. Ignore all polls. Show up to vote. That’s it. Stay locked-in.

Well, another Cardinal has come out with a, shall we say, puzzling take on evangelization. A few years ago, Cardinal Américo Aguiar, at the time auxiliary bishop of Lisbon, said that he and the other organizers of World Youth Day in his hometown had no interest in converting anyone to Christ. Now Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco of Algeria has opined that “the Church is not there to convert” and “Christians should approach other religions through fraternity rather than seeking conversions.” Excuse me, but…what? Last time I checked, the Founder said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Sure sounds like conversion to me. When St. Paul came to Corinth or Athens or Thessalonica, his purpose was not to listen or to form a discussion group but rather to declare an unnerving message: the euangelion (glad tidings) that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead. So impassioned is he for this work that he says, “I have become all things to all people, that I might by all means save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel” (1 Cor. 9:22); and “If I proclaim the gospel, this gives me no ground for boasting, for an obligation is laid on me, and woe to me if I do not proclaim the gospel” (1 Cor. 9:16)! Moreover, the entire thrust of the Second Vatican Council was toward bringing the Light of Christ to the peoples of the world (Lumen Gentium). And this missionary élan has given rise in the last few decades to the idea of a “new evangelization,” which is to say, a fresh declaration of the Lordship of Christ. Quite obviously, no one thinks that this work of evangelization should be done in a brow-beating, overbearing, or disrespectful manner (proselytization), but for God’s sake, let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater. If I really thought that the Church does not exist to bring people to Christ, then I would resign and get an honest job.
