Stuff like the worm in the tank helmet is awesome as 'alien variety' but its ultimately meaningless as they aren't a defined species. And Vy'keen still look like ASS. These are the things that stop the game being truly great, to me. It doesn't have a real sense of place. 2/2

Seeing how No Man's Sky has changed over the years is impressive, but I wish they rework/codify their alien species. It's so wishy washy atm and the three 'main' species are very hit and miss. There needs to be some sort of lore bible, Star Wars style, for alien NPCs. 1/2

The 'the prequels were good actually' is a complete misreading of their rehabilitation as a beloved meme factory, and the animated Clone Wars show (and to some extend the comics pre-Disney buyout) which somewhat elevated the whole mess.

For the initial desktop/browser version at least, no accounts/logins. No data is kept on a server. No Google sign ins. You just use it. What you do in it is none of my business. It will support OD&D, B/X BECMI, AD&D and 2nd edition. If that interests you, watch this space.

What it DOES do, is help you track weight, time and time-sensitive equipment/spells, fatigue, weather. It knows the climate, season, the terrain, the moon phase (if you care about that) and keeps a log and state you can save offline. 2/2

This was patching an Ubuntu VM and Docker.

BEFORE they bowed out 'officially' I spotted in my patching that there name was wiped clean off the pool already. The patches aren't just 'fixing' their mistake, it's erasing them.

So better late than never, I got hooked on my first Rush song today. Yes, I was always very aware of Tom Sawyer but it was always just 'fine' to me. I just heard Animate. Holy fucking shit!
