The White Sox have informed John Schriffen that his contract will not be extended as the club’s lead play-by-play announcer.   A national search for his replacement will begin immediately.

Another reason Ben Johnson is a good coach is because he manages people and players well. Against the odds, he gave Santos a chance at redemption at the right time, and was rewarded. It’s not a coincidence Johnson consistently gets more out of players than other coaches do.
