We are beyond excited that our #Spock @StarTrek design has been OFFICIALLY LICENCED by CBS @ @redbubble! It celebrates Spock and his catchphrase "fascinating", which is very significant of him and the whole Star Trek series.

Making the @saganorg logo and knowing that two people have it as tattoos are still two highlights for me as a designer!
Don't miss today's episdoe of #askastrobio, about art in astrobiology w Dr. Aaron Gronstal and @cosmobiologist
Art can be used to share our interests in astrobiology in amazing number of ways.
From the SAGANet logo (by Katarina Eriksson) that I have tattooed on my arm to my own cameo in a comic book on astrobiology (drawing by Tyrell Cannon), I've been enamored with the ways that artists and musicians and creators can tell stories and share our ideas about our place in the cosmos.
If you're interested in how art can be used to share astrobiology, you should tune in tomorrow for an all new Ask an Astrobiologist, which will feature Dr. Aaron Gronstal, the artist behind the NASA Astrobiology Graphic History series. We'll talk about the all new issue that's going to be released at AbSciCon next week and focuses on the question "How do I become an astrobiologist?".

As we move into August this year, we’ll have an opportunity to see not one, but two, full moons – the Sturgeon Moon tonight, and the Blue Moon on the 30th. In fact, the lore and legend of the August Moon runs deep in many cultures, celebrated for its brightness, connections to mythology, and in some years, alignment with the Olympic games. For those with clear skies, the Super Moons of August could be a sight to behold!
Happy Moon Landing Anniversary! In 2019 on the 50th anniversary I made these designs to celebrate the occasion.
The sizes of the Earth and the Moon and the distance between them are to scale!

July 20, 1969 is a date that represents a pinnacle of human achievement - the #Apollo11 Moon landing. And while it was certainly special, it was only part of a long and challenging effort that involved thousands of people working hard and doing their part, resulting in the subsequent Apollo missions taking Americans to the Moon and returning them safely to Earth. It truly was America at its best.
