Sheikh Mohammed told Nawaf Salam that Doha is working toward "sustainable peace" and open shipping lanes, and Salam thanked Qatar for backing Lebanon's territorial integrity.
On its own that's a courtesy call; read next to Iran's two-day Hormuz offer, which demands a halt to hostilities everywhere including Israel's fight with Hezbollah, it's Qatar checking whether Beirut can deliver its piece of the deal.

• 99,000 children over 5
That’s 479,000 children murdered by Israel.
Israel isn’t “defending itself.”
